we all know conversions happened to just about every type of cabinet, even (or most especially!) some that would now be highly prized by collectors. and sometimes for one reason or another you just don't get around to de-converting it and leave it as is; maybe parts are too expensive or the original game just sucked.
what are the rarest games in your collection that you've left in a converted state?
for me, i've got a very water-damaged Springer cabinet that was converted to a Ladybug at some point.
the monitor was shot and the Ladybug PCB has some issues but i could make it playable again if i really wanted to. i've been trying to give it away for a restore but so far nobody's taken me up on the offer so it languishes in the back of my garage awaiting an uncertain fate.
and i just brought home my Krazy Bowl (it's been at my wife's work since i got it cheap off of CL back in the winter.) originally the Sente SAC-1 cabinet was a Stompin'!
if i could find the parts i'd put it back as it was originally but the chances of that are pretty much nill. so far now, despite it being an incredibly ungainly and unattractive cabinet, it does a very excellent job housing a bowling game! in fact, the even transition to the glass from the huge CP makes it perfectly suited to it. might eventually turn it into a World Class Bowling to upgrade the game.
