I finally have enough room in my garage for two (linked) racing cockpits.
Problem is I just don't know which game to choose.

I could buy two "Racing Jam" cockpits (Konami) or two "Winding Heat" cockpits (Konami) or maybe two "San Francisco Rush" cockpits (Atari).

Since I'll have to invest between 1500$ to 2000$ for one of those game, which one would you choose? Or should I wait 'till I find another specific game? Which racing game is your favorite? Which one would you recommend?

Thanks for sharing your opinion!

Hydro Thunder has always been my favorite. The subwoofer under the seat and the strong force feedback steering really add to the experience.

I'd go with either san francisco Rush (rush the rock) or hydro thunder. Should be able to get a pair of Rushes for a grand or a couple hydros for around $1400

Hydro is cool. However, based on unknown statistics on expected gamers at your house I would say your best bet would be to run Rush the Rock. RTR combines typical silly arcade physics with a little bit of real-world skills and is always a simple pick and and play for any player. Everyone knows the concept of driving a car. Boats, motorcycles, and planes are not as second nature to many people as a car.

I love my Out Run 2 Special Tours. I'm sure that when I finish restoring my San Francisco Rush the Rock Alcatraz Edition that I'll like it too, but that Out Run 2 is awesome and will be really hard to beat.

id love to have something newer like off road thunder, hydrothunder, arctic thunder, rush, cali speed, etc but i had a race drivin cockpit and loved it. I had to let it go because it would not fit down my basement stairs.

Im with you on the Driv'n games. I had one and loved it.

Racing Jam has a bad habit of getting the "RTC SELF CHECK ERROR" for which there is no known fix. Trust me....

It's the same M48T58Y IC that's been vanquished for most Hornet games... has no one tried programming and replacing that IC yet?
