What is you official stance on video games? Or do you have soft stool?

How do you stand when playing? Do you prefer sitting?

I have fun watching the different stances, playing styles and quirks, that people show when they're playing...

I'm usually in the intense, left foot forward, arms extended, 'pro' posture...

Seriously, there is always at least one stand-up dood in the bunch of nerds... Don't be that guy.

Holeee crap, Sav... Glad I missed the live version!

For Scramble, I have a more 'leaning back in the saddle' posture for some levels... For robotron, I like wearing my old nad huggers...

where's the pictures of the touchy feely dudes who like to stand on top of you while playing a 2 player game, or the other types that take up all 28" of control panel with their elbows. (i've seen fat and skinny alike do this)

It looks like you raided my Men of CAX photos!!! You were there for the live version, that is your belly on the right... :D

I like to stand, and lean forward into the game...

Yep, lotsa good material in the 'men of CAX' california ass xtreme thread...

Guess I gotta get some ladies pics out there, then this thread will really pick up...

I'm really showin there:eek:... guess I forgot the girdle that morning.

Hahahaha!!! you took it down!!! :p

I think you delivered since then...

Weird, that pic wasn't loading before but now it is there again. Maybe something is wrong w/photobucket! (of course it could still be just you...)

I stand straight up, sometimes alternating between one leg straight and one slightly bent but always shoulder length apart. My right hand is usually on the right side on the t-molding by the pointy part where the curve ends.

That seems a fairly common stance for the gals... the overall body balance must just be phenomenal, nal... nal.

She looks like a light breeze would topple her over!! I don't topple like that, I am like a mountain goat!! (speaking of which... that is where I'm heading now!)

I get close to the game to brush my pheromones on it... the next guy to play after me will either fall for me, or have a new favorite game

Generally I sit, but I do have my Ms. Pac-Man stance that I only do for that game...

Right leg straight (centered with the screen), left leg bent with left foot real close to the righty. Left arm up over the marquee and right hand on the joystick. It looks as though GQ was doing a photoshoot on how to seduce Ms. Pac-Man.

It depends a lot on the game. For fast games like Asteroids Deluxe, I have a more dynamic stance, left leg in front and knees bent to get me closer to the monitor. For snore-fests like Donkey Kong, I have a more relaxed legs-spread stance.

I prefer to sit for some games like DK & Gravitar.
Pinball you must be standing with one leg slightly in front of the other.
I laughed at all the guys wearing fingerless gloves to play pinball.
I play for hours and find no need for those.

A barstool is ok....but if I'm really rocking something like Robotron or Defender (which I need to get good at again) I want to be standing, combat stance: left foot slightly forward, because I'm bound to be moving as if I'm the sprite on the screen, regardless of the fact that I know that's not going to help move it.

Im 6'6" so I like bar stools.. Except for Battlezone...

Is Battlezone hard for you to play? I'm 6'2" and after a while it starts hurting my back... gotta be worse for you at 6'6".

Yea cant play too long.. I purchased a 2nd battlezone that is open face.. I like playing it better, but like the way the other one looks.. So I will keep both...

For stand up drivers, I have to use a barstool. I have pins for a knee joint in my left leg, therefore I can't keep weight on it for very long.
I recently picked up a GT 2K, and find myself lunging at the game so to whack the trackball as hard as I can :)
