Gentlemen,
Can someone tell me what this vertically mounted board on my K7000 chassis is?
Thank you.

it's one of several different pincushion correction boards found on some models.

if there's a cap on it i would replace it.

you may even try running the chassis without it. there have been reports of it not being needed at all.
as it was an add-on from the factory that is not documented.

Buffett,
Thanks for all of your help. This chassis already needs a cap kit, so I am going to remove it and see what happens.

Those were "typically" found on the 27" and up versions.
Unusual (for me at least) to see one on a 25" chassis.
Might explain why it's not very populated like most others though.

Ahh! I just rebuilt a 25" k7000 chassis that has header pins on it.. Usually the holes aren't populated.. Figured it was for a pin pcb, but never saw one before. Mine didnt need it

I was just going to msg you the URL to this thread. Now we know!

I just did this 27" one and I changed the caps on that board.

Okay, so this chassis needed a cap kit anyway. I took this pincushion off and tried to run the monitor without it following the cap kit. Vertical collapse. Put the board back on the chassis, works fine. I suppose it will stay put now. Thanks guys.
