Hey guys I suspect this to be the reason my Moon Patrol is acting funny. Is there another way I can connect this wire to the connector or switcher power supply and if not where can I order a replacement to cut these wires off and stick into the new one?

Ok cool, I believe I need the 15 pin but I m not sure what else I need to make this work. Could you help me out?

Ok, I think I got it, I just need the pins and the extractor but could you tell me what is the difference between (loose pins) and (Cut Strip)?

loose pins is my preference and cut strips have a carrier strip for machines and some like them but only because they are cheaper but they take more work/time to cut them off the carrier. some brands of pins have great carrier strips and i prefer them but not on the .156. do you have an open barrel crimper??

It's just the packaging, they're functionally identical.

Cut strip is shipped on a big reel, and they're connected together by a single band:

Loose pins are individual parts:

Each has advantages and disadvantages, so for hobbyists like us, it's really up to personal taste or cost.

You don't need the extractor tool.

I have had way better luck with small flat head screw drivers. Sometimes two, one to push the tab, the other to push the contact out of the socket.

I feel like half the time, I mess up the contacts with the tool.

bump my old thread with a new question about the same area of problem. I have these wires in the pictures hanging free and im not sure the pinout on the game so It does not do me any good to follow the wire to see where it goes if I dont know what im looking at.

These wires go to my switcher ps but im not sure what wires go where.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
