Hi. While I take a break from recapping my chassis for my Daytona USA, I thought I would inspect my old unknown Nanao chassis that is pulled from my Monaco GP Cockpit as it is suffering form a vertical collapse. Anyways, I noticed a spot on the board that looked a different colour, almost wet in a way. I gently lifted the capacitor (?) up from the board and noticed the side was blown out. I am attaching a picture. I included a zoomed in top view in the top left corner of the picture as well so you can see the numbers on it. It looks like it says 11J33A on it. I'm pretty new to this so is this a different type of capacitor? Any idea where I can order a replacement and could this be causing my vertical collapse? I'm going to recap the chassis and neckboard while everything is out as well. Thanks in advance for your help.

Robert

Is the monitor a Sega/Nanao MC-2000-S?

If so, here is my repair guide:

Thanks for the reply and link Ken. I don't think it's a MC-2000-S though. If interested, you can view more photos of the chassis at the following link:

The board actually has the Mitsubishi stamping on it. I posted a previous thread here or somewhere else asking for help on identifying the chassis and I believe the consensus was that it is a Nanao. The tube has the Mitsubishi logo on it but it also says Sega Enterprises. There should be a picture or two of the tube showing this in the link above. I've been basically just using a magnifying glass and writing down all the values off the capacitors so I can order my own custom kit. However, according to "TheGleek", I have a blown inductor. Any idea where I can obtain a replacement? Thanks.

def not a cap. the pcb has a L symbol on it, making it an INDUCTOR! :)

Thanks. I didn't even think of looking up what the "L" symbol means. Lol. Sorry, as you can tell I am new to all of this. Much appreciated. Now I have to figure out if I can obtain a replacement. Any ideas?
