I found this on the bottom of my original (at least that's what I believe) Namco Mappy cabinet. Does anyone have any idea what/where it is from? It is a photo of the bottom of the cabinet, including wheels.

Any help identifying what it is/where it could have come from would be awesome. Thanks!

Yeah, Midway used blemished/extra side panels for floor panels sometimes. I remember a Spy Hunter with a Spy Hunter art floor panel.

I agree. Maybe they had leftover cabinets they needed to use? Williams did this alot.

That is the most likely explanation. Midway did this too. When Pac-Man went supernova it was all hands on deck for getting new cabs out the door, and they grabbed any available compatible cabinet parts they could use, mostly from their Galaxian stock. Lots of new Pac-Man cabs rolled off the line with Galaxian art on the inside walls and the bottom.

i had a water-damaged Astron Belt that had lots of bits of EDOT in it when i broke it apart. cool and sad at the same time.

thanks!

Thanks for the replies everyone, it makes total sense now. Solar Fox huh? I'm going to have to research that one!

Must have had a heck of an overrun of Solar Fox.
