What is this board

I was thinking shill, but there are some bidders there w/ a ton of feedback. Unless the seller knows those guys, and they are doing it anyway.

OR, I guess it could be a rare board and these guys know what they are bidding on

I don't know what it is, but it went for $250. So unless that was a typo (can you say "Oh Sh$t, my finger slipped!"), I can't see a series PCB like that one going for that much. The GX-400 was a hardware platform that they used for half a dozen games, so with a ROM swap you can get any of them to run (except the drivers, I think they needed a daughterboard).

Maybe somebody here knows something more about these boards.....

Looking the the bidders, I would say that it went to a Japanese collector using a bidding service.

I've been game shopping on a number of Japanese gaming sites for years -- I've seen $1200 Missile Command boards, and quite a few other head tilters over the years.. There are games that sell for much more over there than they do here and Salamander is one of them.

It has the daughterboard attached, so I guess it's Konami GT (was there another driving game?)

PCB prices are generally much higher in Japan. And the Yen is kicking the dollar's butt in the past year.

To give the seller a break here...his ONE negative was some one who dinged him on a $3.51 marquee. He wasn't happy about the packing job.
