In the mood of the "What's the worst thing you have ever pulled out of a cabinet?" post that is going, I thought I would start a what is the worst mod you have ever seen on a cabinet or had to repair?

I'll start it off with mine. I am new to this and do not have any great ones, but my DK had a coat rack attached to the side of it and someone had ripped out the coin box so they could fit a larger plastic children's sand bucket in the bottom. Also I had to do a little scrubbing with Goo Gone because someone had drawn mustaches on all the characters on the bezel... except the lady... she got a dong. Not really all that bad, but I'm just curious if anyone has had any really crazy ones or just insanely awful paint jobs, etc..

Haha! That's pretty good. A coat rack? Pretty lame. Makes me think they got it for a song if they didn't care about it that much.

Nothing horrible for me, just that my Burgertime had the signature black paint on the sides, so I had to shell out ~$150 for stencils and paint etc. not including time...

Worst cabinet mod I've seen is placing a computer monitor with a white case where the arcade monitor was and running MAME...

Probably my sound mod to my MAME MK cab. lol It sounds awesome though but I got a pair of those speakers that sits on top of the upper corners of a pc monitor and slapped those on the top of my mame cab right by the marquee. lol It works and sounds great just not the prettiest thing in the world.

I saw a picture on a build your own mame cabinet website of a guy that just drove screws through a pair of ugly pc speakers. At least yours has brackets. ;)

All I see is carpal tunnel when I look at the angle on that control panel! That sack of grout also make me cringe (in a huge tile project right now)

Ha ya my neighbor just did mt kitchen and there Were some left over supplies lol. I was thinking the same thing with the angle of the panel but that's the slope of the original so I didn't think it would be that bad??
