What game left such an impression on you that you consider it perfect, even with its bugs and limitations? That game that seems to have been tailor-made for you and that you have always had fun playing and still play today?
Although many people think it is bad, for me Atari's Pit Fighter is the perfect game. I have been playing this game since its release and I still have a lot of fun playing it today.

Most space type shooters. Asteroids, Tempest, Tail Gunner 2, Stargate. The list goes on and on.

I understand that people have many favorite games. But in this thread you have to pick just one. That one you think is still the best!

Pit Fighter usually finds it's way into worst arcade games off all time lists. I actually enjoy it, I remember first playing it in a bowling alley arcade. I'd buy one for the right price without question.

My perfect games for me would be either Total Carnage or Hard Drivin Cockpit.

Many may disagree and considering alot of these cabinets tended to be gutted for their parts (mainly the monitor) and converted, my perfect game is the "under-rated classic vector" -> ATARI SPACE DUEL. It takes the basic play of Asteroids (my favorite game) and combines that with a color monitor, random rotating "asteroid/geometric" shapes, multiple spaceship enemies, evil mines, two modes of play, dual play and all in a beautifully designed cabinet with four speakers. Perfect. (y)

Robotron. Skill ceiling, legendary sound, flow state unbelievable, striking visuals, breakneck pace, cool story background, hero based. I could go on and on about this game. If I had to sell every game in my collection and could save one or two I believe they'd be Robotron and Galaga.
