what is the difference between a 27d9201 and a 27d9202

hey gang,

picked up a 27d9202 with tube/yoke/remote board/little input board but it is missing the neck board and main chassis.

i see that this particular model is not mentioned on the wg site.

i also see a few chassis' around for the 27d9201.

what is the difference between these two, or can i use this chassis.

Not sure - but you may be able to buy a 9202 chassis directly from Wells-gardner fully working...

I'm surprised

I'm surprised you bought that after not wanting an awesome working Nanao dual resolution. The 9000 series is not to well liked I have one that works but needs a little help I didn't even offer it to you because you turned down the Nanao. The 7500 is way better I think then the 9000, You have a 7500 chasie still right? I wonder if the yoke might be compatible that you just got. I'm not to good on yoke compatibility but maybe one of the experts know. From what I know it shouldn't hurt to try the yoke with the chasie as only a bad picture would result if incorrect but you might ask one of the experts if that would work.

I bought the machine for parts, since I knew it was not complete (it's missing the steering parts). The rest of the machine 'is all there' according to the seller.

Well, with the first look, I see that the hard drive is missing and the chassis and neck board on the monitor are missing. It was not until I pulled the monitor at home that I see it is a 9200 series.

I was expecting a u5000 series or a k7501.

From the research here, i see that the d9200 is not well liked as they seemed to have cascading failures.

As of now, I have:

• a 25k7401 standard res that I can't use.
• a 27k7501 med res chassis and neckboard that should be working, but no yoke.
• a 25" complete with a reportedly bad u5000 chassis and tube burn in.
• a 27d9202 without a chassis and neckboard.

and last night I bought a non-working u5000 chassis and neckboard off eBay.

So the plan as off today is to send both u5000's out for repair, get the 25" with burn in up and running, then find a 25" (or 27" if that swap works?) tube, transplant the yoke to the replacement tube, and hopefully be done. Either that, or abandon the CRTs and try the GBS-8220 converter to 26" LCD route.

Input is welcome.

lol

That's how I messed up on telling you I had a 7500 for you I had two silent scope 2's You would think they would both come from the factory with the same monitor nope the dark silhouette had the 7500 the innocent sweeper had the nanao which honestly I really like I'm glad you didn't buy it because it is dual resolution and is now my test monitor since I can test both med and standard res games with it and it auto switches so no jumpers are connectors to change. But if I were you I'd consider them in the future if the need arises. The only people who ever say anything bad about them are the people who don't know what they are or people who have never used them. I have only two out of the multi monitors I have But I'm impressed with them. One came in my Rad mobile deluxe and the one from my silent scope 2. They are the gold standard in the candy cabs and those people like them.
