OK, my Street Fighter II monitor is compleatly D_E_A_D. So I need to replace it. This is the first time I'll be a monitor and I want to know what is the best place to do without braking the bank.
I believe it is a 25 inch monitor.

no if you are talking about buying a new 25" monitor, you could probably buy
2 streetfighter 2 machines off of craigslist for the same price.

find a nice used one for under $100 locally, you should be good.

my opinion

Check in your local yellow pages for
(a) a TV repair shop. With the switch to LCDs they should have plenty of 25" tubes and/or they should be able to repair the chassis (if the chassis is the issue).
(b) local 8Liner companies. Most of them are swapping the old tubes out for LCDs and may give you a hellacious deal on a practically new monitor. I bought 5 19" monitors with virtually no burn for $100 a month or so ago. They asked if I wanted any bigger monitors because they were about to refurb a bunch with 25-32" CRTs to LCDs (I didn't take them up on it because I don't have anyplace to store big monitors like that).

Think I can get their number? I could use a few 25's.
