I have an original, new old stock set of side artwork for the Star Wars Return of the Jedi upright game. I am just curious what it's worth. I purchased two sets of it about 15-20 years ago, and sold one to another guy back then. I don't have the triangles though.

Reason I'm asking, is because the sideart on my machine is actually in great shape (minus one of the triangles) and I'd hate to let these deteriorate and crumble if they're worth $$$. I know I paid $100+ for each set back then.

Is there any difference in price between OEM and repro when it comes to sideart?

It's probably worth something in the $100-$150 range, maybe more to the right buyer. Jedi sideart is not an easy thing to find, but then again, there aren't too many people looking for it. Someone did a repro of it several years ago.

Comparing the price of OEM to repro is a tricky thing--it all depends on the quality of the OEM/NOS stuff (how well it has survived) and the quality of the repros (color matching, silkscreen vs. inkjet, etc). There are some ultra purists out there who want nothing but NOS art and will pay top dollar for it.

Cool! Thanks for the reply. I'll dig it out and see how the past 10 years (since i looked at it last) have treated it.

OK. I found and removed the sideart, and aside from the paper backing being a little discolored and slightly bent on the corner, There is absolutely NO damage to the vinyl sticker whatsoever!!!! WOO HOO!

Does the fact that it's rolled, and in a tube affect the value? Was all sideart originally rolled, or was it shipped flat?

BTW, this stuff still smells like rubber!

If I had a ROTJ, I'd buy it from you right now...alas, I'm still looking, am stenciling my Pac, and have a Turbo in the queue, so I'd have to pass. I think Phoenix Arcade did the repros? But not any more.
