what is better than 1 Pole Position?...when you have 2 Pole Positions to play.

I need to be schooled guys as a new guy to the hobby I want to turn the second game into PP2 at times, can I just buy the main PP2 board and plug and play, swap the board without adjusting or jumping wiring???

I cant find it now but someone here did a beautiful resto and installed 2 complete board setups and a toggle to switch between boards, NICE!......can I do that with a short jumper wiring harness or do I need to rewire the whole game??

not sure I want to rewire the whole game it is all original with a new power supply and new rebuilt main board, plays great but am wanting to dabble with PP2 at times.

appreciate any feedback from the PP experts.

Peace, B.

youll need 2 to keep one alive LOL..

im pretty sure a pp2 boardset plugs right into a pp1 wiring harness and cage.

having spare boardsets for these damn games is a very good idea. You might also want to cut the +5 wires and power the main ground and +5 from a pair of new switchers, hook directly at the test points on the boardset.

i'm pretty sure PP2 plugs directly into PP1....At least it does in my PP1 cab. I've got both boards installed in mine side by side for easy swapping thru the coin door.

Tom, next time your in yours can you grab some pics of how you did that, I thought you had to swap one of the 2 big boards in the back to go from one to the other..meaning unplug and plug in the other board, curious how you did yours.

knock on wood my fist game plays good, I see some extra wires run around kinda half azz...looks like the mod you are refering to, its been through a ringer on a route, cig burns, chips wear ect.

Thnx B.

Ok will do. I have no idea how it was accomplished, Brentradio was the one who pimped it out. Boards modded to be "bulletproofed", 50+ nos parts installed.. even has a working brake pedal, heh. It had a fuse blowing issue when I got it, that has been fixed and new sideart was installed by Gene at VintageArcadeSuperstore. I've been meaning to take some collection pix, so I'll open it up and do it at the same time.
