First off, I have just recently started checking these forums, and never really dealt online with coin operated machines until recently.

I had three Simpsons PP, sold one today, so two Simpsons pinball party machines left... The one I sold today for 3600. They are all in similar condition, out of the two I have left, one of them is probably the best condition of the three I had. They all had slight flipper wear, maybe between a quarter and a half dollar in flipper wear on each side. They all had 2-3 small nicks in the cabinet, no playfield wear, and no lock-bars were ever installed. I seen in the past month two of them have sold on eBay; one for 4250 without shipping, and one sold for 5800 with LED's installed, without shipping. The one for 5800 was probably in a little better shape than mine, but the one for 4250 was in equal or worse shape then mine. Should I be holding out for a little more then 3600? Or is that fair value?

Also, would you guys say I should start selling my pins on eBay, or are those sales far and few between? Basically, would I be better putting these on eBay and waiting for the sale, or is that just hit or miss for these to sell for that much on eBay, and for it to be my machine out of the ones on eBay that the buyer decides to purchase? Do they only sell once in a while for that much more then the average price of these machines? (I would say 3300 is average price for a spp, in average condition) Which mine are definitely better than average.

In short, how long would it take on eBay for me to get that kind of money for my pinballs? Is it not worth the wait / is it rare to get that kind of sale? Or do I have a good chance of getting that kind of money? I don't care about losing a couple hundred, but even after fees if I sold mine for 4500, I could be missing out on $700+ by not selling them on ebay. Thanks alot.

Man.. Where have you been? I couldn't live without the Internet, heh..

Pins are worth what people will pay.. Condition is king, location is second, and research is quite helpful..

I've sold a few dozen pins in the last few years, none on eBay.. eBay buyers flake, fees are to high, and well... I hate EBay. Used Craig's List for some sales, but 98% of all deals are usually made via a forum or word of mouth.

I have never sold a pin on eBay, but the few items I did sell (cheap household items) the fees were about 11 percent. Remember Paypal charges their fee on shipping too. Plus there is the whole paypal thing, which is better gone over at: http://www.paypalsucks.com/

In short, selling pin on eBay can be a risky and costly (fee wise) venture. This is why sellers are now asking top-top dollar. If the buyer pays, then it is a win. If the buyer asks for a better price (as in buy it now or best offer), then you can complete the transaction off line. Remember eBay does not like for you to be paid via cash. They want the transaction paid through paypal. BTW, eBay wholely owns paypal.

Sell on CL or the various forums. If you got $3600 for a routed TSPP, then you did fine.

Routed beat up badly 3200 +

Routed good to great shape $3400-3600

HUO $3600-4500 depend if you can find right buyer..

I had tried sell my HUO TSPP with many mods and nobody chime in for almost 2 months. finally sold for 4k to a reseller guy and he listed it for 6k and i sits there and probably still there (with green powdered paint trim).
