being an operator since 1986, I don't think I have ever seen one

This. Used to play Pirate Treasure at the Chuck E Cheese near my house back in the 90s (born in '87). Not sure why that game play has stuck with me, it was pretty rudimentary if I remember correctly.

Leprechaun is what I used to play at Chuck E Cheese. How much would one of those go for these days?

A "moppett" game is a child-sized cabinet with a child-themed video game in it. Very simple games with very simple rules for little kids to play.

Moppett cabinets had their own wiring standard called "moppett".

A moppet cabinet is a kid sized "mini" arcade cabinet from the 80s. They were primarily purchased by Showbiz Pizza and possibly Chuck E. Cheese. In general, these games are fairly rare since Showbiz and Chuck e. Cheese would destroy their games rather than sell them once they had outlived their usefulness. While more common titles of other games can still be found since they were bought by all arcades, finding a moppet is pretty rare since most didn't survive the systematic corporate purge......At least, that's what I hear.

as far as the fun factor goes, i like noah's ark the best. it was also the only moppet i played bitd. the next one in line is tug boat. its sorta like atari's river raid without a fire button. instead, u get a useless horn button. i believe pirate treasure and leprechaun are similar. i bought noices leprechaun a few years back. if you like pot of gold, then u will like it. i need a few beers to enjoy this one :)
the last one is dessert race. mine isnt working. i finally brought it in the house, plugged it in and just got a white screen.
i also have a generic cab painted blue (also from noice) running river patrol.

the berestain bears might be the hardest to find...

anyone know the story of mopett.
82 was the heyday of arcade games and then the crash
was it someone from one company that left to start a new game factory.
were they from Califorina? a start up that didn't survive.
were they a spin off from someone else? did they get bought out or just die.
It looks like they were only around 1 year.

They were around for more than one year. I think there were two different owners but the is just my opinion. One address shows Mesa, AZ and then later you see two different address for CA. In the pic above it shows all the games in the generation one style cabinet. But Desert Race, Tugboat, Noah's Ark and Berstine Bears all game in non wood cabinets which I think suck. The wires harness is more fragile than PT and Lep. Also the later games have a different PCB and pinouts.

I still have mine for sale which I will take 1200 for all 7 of them and there are more PCB's than I though. 4 Pot of Golds, 4 Unlabled, 3 Kaos, and 2 PT's.

You run across many which have been gutted or retrofitted to something else. I found an empty one in a warehouse and talked the owner out of it with another purchase.

Then I turned it into a JAMMoppet

What kind of numbers of these survived? Any guesses?
