I have a very solid Tempest cab that I do not need or have room for. It has potential for more than a doghouse so what should I ask for it?

Wiring harness in there and complete. coin door control panel and power supply. It has a back door

Is it the same one? I notice the bottom is not painted on yours and the joysticks are different than what was in this one. This one also had the early 1943 marquee that looks like 1942. I think it's a twin!

ROFL, I believe this one was in New England, but what are the frikin odds right?
Was the funniest thing when I saw your post, I was thinking, no way there were 2... that 2 different ops did this to a Tempest cab... but here we are.>ROFL

if you are looking for a few opinions......

I think $50, if it was solid and someone had a water damaged one they may buy it.

but restoring that thing will cost more than buying a complete one.

$50. And you'll be lucky to get it. Oregonarcade has listed several empty arcade cabinets before on CL for less than that and no one ever came out to get them.

You guys are going to kill me, but I would have just kept the cabinet a 1943. With some cleaning up and touching up, the cab would actually have looked pretty nice. Plus, 1943 is a fairly popular game, so you could have probably sold it for a decent price (probably to a non collector).

It's going to cost an absolute TON of money to get that thing back into a working Tempest. If you want to get rid of that cab, I think you'd be hard pressed to get much more than $47 or so.

I would gladly pay $50 for a solid Tempest conversion cabinet that has no water damage. All you need to do is put a set of $100 artwork on it and transfer the parts from your water damaged cabinet. I need 2 as it is.

You might be able to pull in $50 or more for the coin door and power block and then give the cabinet away or something. Personally, I wouldn't want it for anything.

That side art alone is hard to come by... would love to have it if it were closer. have a 1943 but in another cab.

I agree completely. Plus, 1943 is a better game than Tempest because it actually works usually :)
