Just out of curiousity, which one of your games out of the entire collection have you put the most cash into. Your answer can only be for THEE most costly game to date. Mine would have to be my wifes Ms.pac. I have spent over $200 on it since I got it not including what I originally spent to buy it and it's still not finished, but it works 100%. I estimate another $100 will go into it for completion. If it were my game I would have sold it long ago,I have only kept putting money into it to keep her happy (and to allow me to get more games....shhhhhhh) lol

Let's see... most costly to date would probably be my atomiswave sd. cost me a garmin gps and a minicute. I only want one other candy cab though, and will sell off some of the ones I currently have at some point to make room for more dedicated cabs. Most expensive dedicated cab I own will go to my konami 4-player cab after I buy new artwork for it.

-flipper rebuild, etc.. parts from PBR
-had a half dozen parts chrome plated
-repaired MPU
-repro bumper caps and all drop targets, from CPR

sick how it adds up

The Dragon's Lair I used to have. By the time I traded it off, I had put about $800 into that machine.

Any of my mame cabs. Those machines always added up. Don't have a dollar figure though, sorry.

Honestly, I would have to say my Tempest. I initially paid more for my Ms. Pac Cabaret ($775) than any of my other games, but that was 6-7 years ago and doesn't really count.

My Tempest I picked up for: $300
added a newer (used) marquee/headpiece: $35
Had the 6100 rebuilt: $125
New T-molding: $20
New CPO: $55
Board swap: $130
New Big Blue: $12.50
Complete (correct) spinner assembly: $35

$712.50

Game I paid the most for was my Super Mario Bros. pinball at $700 +$50 in a few other parts. But I have put about $160 into my GORF restoration that is very close to being finished.

Yeah, mine is probably my MAME cab too.

$250 XMEN vs COTA Capcom Big blue cab
-60 selling the A&B board
$60 JPAC
$60 video board
$60 misc stuff

So.. $370? Actually not too bad. Now, when you consider the $300 cobalt flux I bought so I could play Stepmania on it too, price def went up. :)

My Williams Multigame

$1 Joust cab conversion
$150 Robotron boardset
$140 Clays kit
$55 Phoenix Arcade metal control panel (shipped)
$52 Phoenix arcade plexi bezel (shipped)
$140 bob roberts order for power supply, ISO, filter, fuse block, buttons, joysticks, etc...
$75 for a stargate cabinet with a monitor (needed the monitor - later did a SG resto)

$613 total. I am sure there is more, but its been too long to remember. :)

The most costly game (by far) would be.... my storage warehouse. It keeps taking coin from me each and every month.

Counting just videogames... and dollars... my white computer space.

Counting just percentages... my 2-player Rampart. A (no longer active) user on here took it to sell on consignment and disappeared. It's on my to-do list to write up a neg feedback thread but the user is long out of the hobby apparently so it isn't time sensitive. And I'm not done pursuing the matter.

Star Wars UR... Lots of powder coating, Yoke Rebuild, Rebuilt 6100 then upgraded to an Amplifone, woodworking artwork etc... lots of ca$h

2nd most expensive was DK2... Artwork, New Monitor, New Controls, paint + refurb cab... this one probably ended up costing me about as much as the star wars.

I put the most into my 720.

That damn new 25" med res monitor cost me damn near $600 shipped.

what!!!?? I would have had to sell that thing before even getting a monitor into it. That game is one of my grails but I still could'nt do it.

Golden Tee 2005. New monitor, new power supply, new motherboard, spare hard drive.
Probably have about $450 in it counting the cost of the machine itself.

Honestly, the first MAME cab is the biggest money pit, but nobody here is looking for that answer. ;)

I bought lots of tools, computer parts and all new controls and keyboard encoder to complete it. I'd guess about a grand all-in.

My Ms. Pac Man/Galaga/Frogger multigame. Bought over ten years ago for 3000 new. That's counting shipping, buuut...

My Super Pac Multi.

Machine Cost______________________$130
60-in-1___________________________ $90
Custom CPO_______________________$46
Midway Coin Door Logo______________$15
Marquee___________________________$25
Locks & Keychain_____________________$8
Bob Roberts Drop in Power Supply_____$90
Cap Kit and Flyback__________________$45
Paint______________________________$60
T-Molding__________________________$15
Misc______________________________$20

Total $544

I still need a bezel, so when I finally get the cash, that'll be another $80-ish. The only saving grace is the multi-board. If I ever decide to sell it, I could probably break even.

Donkey Kong Cocktail

Cabinet Price________________$150
High Score/DK 2 Kit___________$90
Cap kit for monitor/PCB/PS_____$30
Paint________________________$15
Misc parts____________________$45

Total________________________$330

Considering the disdain for DK cocktails, it may be hard to get my money back from it. If I ever sell it I expect up to a $100 loss on it.

Asteroids

Cabinet Price__________________$80
High Score Save_______________$50
Cap kits and Misc Parts_________ $75
Paint_________________________$25
Board Repair__________________$60

Total_________________________$290

If I ever decide to sell it, I shouldn't have problem breaking even or making a little bit of profit on the machine. It's in perfect working order, even if the cosmetics are a B or B-.

Of course, I do not figure in labor to the games. If that were the case I'd lose a lot of money on every game. It's a hobby, so labor doesn't count.
