SO it must be written in the stars that I am destined to own a Atari Roadblasters. for thoes that know I traded a blind playing roadblasters for a dedicated working Rally-X. I recently went looking for a solid JAMMA cabinet for a 60-1 multicade candidate. I found a Ameri Darts converted cab. Its decent and solid and had a track ball populated already for centipede ect. But the guy I bought the cabinet from threw in the Roadblasters (non working) for one hell of a package deal. so I was drilling out the coin drawer door lock because the only key he had to it was the door for the PCB panel. I drilled the bottom coin bucket door out and found some loose quarters. I pulled the bucket out and there was pieces of the old blue steering wheel, the keys to the top coin mech door. AND the roadblasters manuel, wiring book, roadblasters door card, Atari Roadrunner door card, and misc button pieces. The kicker of it is I just ordered the books off of Ebay yeasterday before I drilled the lock. UUUGGGHHHH, Ill just have two sets of books I guess.

SO my question to you is "whats the strangest thing you have found behind a lock you drilled out"?

I bought a crappy looking Pole Position for 40 bucks from a guy at a run down garage. The game had been out side and had been drenched by rain many times but it had been mostly under a tarp. It was complete so I figured I'd at least get some good parts off it. Once I got it home and drilled the locks out I found over 90 bucks in quarters and another several dollars in dimes and nickels. Most of them were stuck together in the bottom of the cab (probably why I didn't hear them moving around) I called the guy and asked if he wanted the money but he didn't care and told me to keep it.

That's a big dildo!!! Nice find! If you restore it, prolly could get $400, as it seems to be a rare vintage caucasian 12. Rare indeed.. Is it just me or does it look like it was suctioned down right next to the pcb then flopped down later. The vein imprints in the dust are a nice touch, adds character to the cab.

so some of you knew this photo already existed. When did the John Holmes get discovered. LOL ahhhh man I keep laughing my ass off every time I see that photo.

I found a small child's runaway plan in my DK jr cabinet. Had it all mapped out, what truck he wanted and how much $ he saved up to "run away.". I will post it here when I get home, pretty funny.

Damn thats great stuff! did he want to leave in a ice cream truck or a van with no windows. LOL

The most interesting thing I have found was a box of porn DVDs. I think it was in the Moon Patrol I bought down in Baytown. The previous owner had bought it in an auction and never opened the coinbox door. I converted the cabinet to the infamous Moonistar (Sinistar in a Moon Patrol cabinet) before I found a real Sinistar to buy.

Sorry no pictures. I peddled the DVDs on Ebay 25 at a time in a flat rate shipping box as "Porn by the Pound".

It paid for the cabinet.

I picked up a Stargate a couple months ago that had locks but no keys. The seller said it had originally belonged to a pot dealer who had bought the game to use as a stash spot. "So," he told me, "When you get the locks off, maybe you'll find a surprise in there."

Over the years I have found a strong correlation between people who have old arcade games in their garage and people who make up tall tales, so I didn't give this story much credence. But when I got the cabinet open, sure enough, there were ancient seeds and stems all over the place, and one good-sized but completely dessicated bud. (I mean, I assume it was cannabis, but how would *I* know, right?)

There were also a bunch of Chuck E. Cheese and Showbiz tokens in there, which was cool. CEC tokens had dates on them, none later than 1982.

Bought a Centipede that had been in the house since c. 1986, per the owner (whose father had been in the business bitd). They must've had the key for the first few years at least because when I got it open at home I found an original He-Man, Masters of the Universe, a Chewbaca action figure, and a plastic light saber that- cough- takes 2 D batteries in the handle and extends to about four feet. Now with all thid dildo talk I'm shuddering to think about what He-Man and Chewbaca might've been doing to each other all those years.

He-Man and Chewbaca. Ouch!

Great. Now I can't stop wondering what Chewbacca's sex noises would sound like.
