I know the whole story of how it happened, but I don't recall a clear tale of what happened to the machines. I seem to recall a story of a retailer getting hold of some/all of them. I was just curious if they ended up in a collectors hands, or a retailers hands and if any of them ended up in the hands of other KLOV collectors. Anyone know the tale for sure. I thought it would be cool to have just one of them in my collection for "piece of greatness" factor. It might be possible if a reseller got them.

I remeber visiting Lloyd at Coinopwarehouse months back and he had a corner of the warehouse that had about 20 of Peter's games he was selling for Peter. Don't know where the rest of the collection went.

True,I too saw them there. I think most if not all of the machines went to him. I think I also remember him telling me that he kept a few machines that were the most important to him. It's been to long to remember 100%

Richie Knucklez bought four of them, if memory serves, including Space Fury and the Omega Race cockpit.

A few of them went to Australia. Don't know how many.

I know that at least one container of them ended up here in Australia

I have the QIX and TANK from there.

KLOV member Andykmv was involved in that shipment, he would know the exact story.

This isn't meant to be an asshole comment, but who cares what happened to them? People get into and out of this hobby all the time don't they? If you knew where each and every game went, would you feel better? I guess I just dont understand.

Just shut up and pray for Peter Hirschberg.

It's a bummer of a story, the whole thing. I'm only interested in what he has left and his ability to possibly put the collection back together at some point. Given how bumpy the road has been all along, I doubt it's going to happen any time soon.

I know divorces are nasty, but that's one thing that the wife really shouldn't be holding from him. She got the house, let him have his games.

I feel for the guy and hope he is ok , but after he said he would rather see all the games parted out instead of going to another collector, he is the last person I would want to see in charge of a collection like that again. There are other collections like that, they just aren't in the public eye.

My memory may be foggy, but I thought his sentiment was that he wanted to bulk sell them to someone far away, because he couldnt bear to sell them one peice at a time to PITA collectors. I can completely understand this.. Btw, I need the access door off of that sega cocktail in the dump pile, if mod still has it. lol

To be honest, don't ask me why, but I too always wondered what ended up becoming of it as well. Maybe because I never got to see it in all of its beauty before it was dismantled. Also, for people like me, it's hard to totally understand how such a gaming mecca could suddenly be ripped apart and erased as quickly as it was. I totally understand what transpired, it's just so hard to believe that for a shrine like that where so much time and effort was made to make it what it was, it's hard to believe that *poof* it's gone.

Many of us (myself included) will never have a setup as wicked as that place appeared to be. It's one of those things I thought would be there longer so I thought I'd have more time to check it out.
