A month ago, my wife's coworker asks me to find him a "Ivan Stewart's Off-Road" 3 player. I shook my head because I had one in 2008, restored it (sans side art) and sold it on Ebay, when I was shrinking my collection. I told the guy, I wish I could have sold him mine, because I had restored it, knew everything about it and had basically restored it to mint minus the side art (which wasnt available at the time) Also, the monitor chassis, power supply and light fixture were all brand new and I had replaced a pot in the yellow accelerator.

So I see one listed on Craigslist in Canton, OH and I send the guy an offer. He accepts and I arrange to pick it up.

The pickup went a little something like this:

"Hey that Off-Road is a track-pack, just like mine was!"
"Hey that Off-Road has torn side art, just like mine did"
"Hey the yellow coin button is stuck, just like mine used to get stuck"

You see where this is going.....

So I am now the proud re-owner of a 3-player off-road, I sold it in 2008 and bought it back for $50 less. I almost don't want to sell it now.

The weird part: I bought it in Canton originally, sold it to someone who doesn't live in Canton and then bought it back from a guy in Canton.....

I'm sure some of you have bought back your old games either on accident or on purpose, anyone have any weird stories about a cab that traveled thousands of miles or anything?

Not any weird stories. But I have seen the games that I sold end up on Craigslist 6 months later still working. I've also seen one that someone either got tired of it real quick or tried to flip it on ebay a month later for $200 more than what I sold it to him for. He kept lowering the price down to what he paid through 4 relistings. He never did sell it.

I think some of these guys either the gameplay doesn't hold them or else they would rather have their Xbox and 20 carts than a single standup.
