I have had several questions on specific games and whether or not they used WICO 4" shafts. So.......

What games use WICO four inch (4") shafts?

They are:

Robotron
Smash TV
Total Carnage
Xmen

Are you sure on the Pooyan? Most pics I can find are 3.5" and the manual lists the same part number as other Stern games.

I thought it used a 4" shaft, but I will take it off until I get confirmation. Thanks!

I'd have to look up the Wico Part #, but there are probably a couple Wico Part #'s for them.

I'm not sure on the Black Widow. If I had to guess, I'd say 3.5" since it uses a metal control panel, but that is just a guess.

That is what I am thinking as well.

Here are some part numbers from the manuals of each game:

Pooyan: Stern part # 4A-457
Robotron: 8 way WICO Joystick 20-9319
Black Widow: the shaft is part # 99-080028 (overall joystick assembly number: 171021-001)

Those are all part #'s from different manufacturers. The Robotron might be a Wico #, but the Stern is a Stern Part Number, and the Atari is an Atari Part Number. If you are mapping part numbers, I'd suggest finding the Wico ones first and then map them to the manufacturers part number.

Here is a link showing some of the different Wico Part Numbers:

I can't find a Wico Catalog right now.

You are correct sir! Just posting them here so I don't loose the numbers. Thanks for the link.

don't know the length of pengo but since I assume we are talking about the sticks that were reproed i can say that pengo sticks have a much thinner shaft.

That's a good point we should be more clear. This thread is about the Wico's that have 9.5mm shaft diameters. I think it is 9.5mm, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Early Sega games used a much thinner shaft, Pengo, Frogger, etc. These are the same shaft diameter as Wico sticks used in Taito games like Elevator Action, but longer.
