What games are available now with mods/multi-game/high score saves, etc?

I'm not the most technical, so I'm not sure that I'm asking this in the right way.

What I'm looking to find out is, what pcbs are available with different mods (or whatever you'd call them) to be able to save high scores, or play different versions of the game(s)?

For example, I think I've read somewhere that there are such things for:

Space Invaders
Pengo
Missile Command

What I don't know is what's involved, and what other games there are.

So, is it a special pcb that has these features, or is it a modification to the board?

Any info is appreciated, as well as what other games are available with these types of things.

I've also been told that there is a switcher you can get to play Centipede on your Millipede cab, etc.

Again, thanks for your time.

Steve

There are a bunch out there, made by various folks. It might be easier to answer if you listed what games you're looking to get High Score kits for.

Thank you for the info!

Most of these games are on my wants list, so it's cool to know what's available for them.

Thanks again.

There are probably more out there... those are just the links I could quickly find/remember.

I made a simple freeplay for SUBROC-3D with attract mode. Basically it uses the fire to credit (you get the start prompt), then decrements the credit on start. One rom was for the "Press Start" message (instead of Insert Coin) the other rom just fixed the CRC so it's pass the ROM check. If memory serves I just ran a set of wires from one coin mech to the fire button (didn't cut anything, so it was completely reversible if you replaced the roms with the originals). Sold my SubRoc a couple years ago with the mod in place (and the original roms in a protective case inside the coinbox). If anyone wants to mod these so the wire isn't required, have at it. I just didn't like the default freeplay screen.

Another cheap mod (might be covered in one of the links above) is to use a "Dallas 1220Y" in place of the 6116 ram that holds scores on TRON. No need for a battery mod to the power supply, just swap the new 1220 in...I've got one in mine, and it's an older pull, and it works great.
