We all have at least one game, that works great and sits lonely in the corner and never gets any play when you have a get together...which game is it for you?

In my arcade, I'd have to say it's Rastan (which I'll never get rid of because it is the first arcade I ever bought and my favorite).

What's yours?

Pretty much the laserdisc games (Badlands, Cobra Command, Cliff Hanger, Dragons Lair 2, Space Ace / Dragons Lair combo) gets no love.

My laser disc game Crime Patrol doesnt get no love. Its really hard for my kids to play as the hits haft to be dead on and haft to be perfectly timed. The game works great but just sits

Tempest or Defender (depending on the crowd). Some people will give Defender one play before giving up on the controls.

Tron doesn't get a whole lot of play either, although it's one of my favorites in the gameroom. The difficulty ramps up too fast for most people to enjoy ..

Sadly Karate Champ gets played the least. I play most often with my wife and she still doesn't like Karate Champ. Doesn't understand the controls and and doesn't want to learn

Many of the games I've sold over the past couple of years are ones that got little to no play. This includes:

Vs. UniSystem (various titles)
Vs. Red Tent (various titles)
Popeye
Mario Bros. WB
X-Men (various boards to swap)
Double Dragon (was a MultiTaito when I sold it)

As much as I love Nintendo, I have a feeling that most of their classic titles get no love in the average arcade/game room. The only reason why I kept DK/D2K is because I love it and play it often. Other than me, no one else plays it.

JAMMA side scrollers/beat em ups have low replay value since you have to have at least 2-4 players to make it interesting and Free Play kills it altogether. It was different BITD when a quarter per game was difficult and risky depending on the difficulty setting of a game.

One game I regret selling that I would have played a lot: Galaga. How I miss thee.

I went down to Monterey on Saturday at a warehouse raid of an operator. He has a Galaga there he is selling. The cabinet is in excellent condition, very clean, the game doesn't work but he has boards untested for it. He wants $400 for it...it seems high for a non working game but it is really clean looking. PM me if you want more details...

That really depends on the crowd. If there are kids the 1000 Mile Rally is going the whole time. Just adults, it just sits there.

Black Widow doesn't get a lotta lovin' either and I don't understand that one.

Wacko would be the least played. I think it is because people are unsure of it. Once I give them an explaination it ends up being the most played during a get together.

Gyruss also does not get the attention it deserves. Very underated and when I get people going on it they are hooked.

Buy the way, Great post!

Sort of sounds like Mad Dog McCree. I hate that f'n game.

Imma gonna say DK3. Mine works flawlessly, looks beautiful, but no one has ever heard of it or played it BITD so they never even try it. Another one is Moon Patrol. I rarely see anyone play it and it's the restored game that I am most proud of. Even I don't play those two much and I should.

Space Invaders and Defender for me. They get played, but much less than the others. Even so, at the last party I hosted it was nice to see them get some love at least.

In mine, I have to say the Merit Megatouch upright gets the least play on vids... Overall, the Xbox 360 gets practically zero play.

If adults are around the 3 game consoles sit totally unused..

If kids are around the Megatouch and the 360 are untouched unless I sit down and start playing Tri-Towers on the MT. I love that game. :D

The favorites depend on the crowd. Kids love all the games and they all get equal play, even the pachislo and the cocktail pinball. On the JROK Multi-Williams Robotron is king. The kids love that one far more than any other game on that board.

Adults play just about everything except the pachislo.

The most used game though by far is my puck bowler. :D

If I was going to pick a Nintendo for my gameroom, it would have to be Mario Bros. Cooperative games seem to fare well at parties, especially when the team is completely drunk. There aren't a whole lot of coop games to choose from either (atleast relative to the number of single or alternating two player games).

These four rarely get touched. In order from least played to most:

Star Trek: SOS
Krull
Continental Circuit
Kicker

Soul Edge/Soul Calibur. In fact, its the next game to get bounced if I have to make space.
