Dragon's Lair II - Got all the parts working and ready for the cabinet but cabinet needs some wood working done. Someone took a saw and cut the wood monitor mounts to get the monitor out instead of unbolting it.:(

I did put together a Donkey Kong as my first project. But it was EASY to find parts. I am talking about super hard to find games.
Like I mentioned earlier, I am trying to put together a Haunted Castle and Ghouls N GHosts. Parts are just not readily avail!!

What cab would a Ghouls N Ghosts or Haunted Castle usually come in?? I don't think either was dedicated.

I put together our Gorf cabaret. Took in a gutted cabinet with marquee as part of a trade/cash deal and found everything else here and on rgva.c.

That was a fun little project. :)

Ghouls n Ghosts were in Dynamo cabs. Not sure about the HC....

rush n attack into a frogger. rotate monitor, new CPO and marquee. its not 100% but its getting there...

Well I can add a NOS Ghouls N Ghosts CPO that I just bought. Now I have the bezel and CPO. I guess I should get the game... IF IT EVER COMES AVAIL!!!!

Here are a couple before and after shots. Both of these games were aquired as shells, they may have included some minor hardware but nothing else. Everything else was bought from members here, companies owned and operated by members here, or ebay.

I have a full NOS Lifeforce kit waiting for the right cab.

Working on a jammatized Ghosts n Goblins...

Have: cab, board, marqee, and CPO

Need: Wiring, bezel, power supply.

Will most likely re-wire it from scratch.

Bought my 1943 in an old sega cab for 150.00 which only had the marquee, crappy side art and a really burnt screen monitor. I collected the bezel, the cpo, new monitor and new ball joysticks. While I was rewiring the cab, I saw a local listing for another 1943 for first come at 50.00 bucks. It was just down the street. Ended up getting almost a complete 1943 that just had some bad side art. The monitor was ok, slightly burned. I just replaced the board with a I-cade since it had 1943 in it, replaced the monitor with a lcd, now it will be painted this weekend. I took the monitor that was in it and put it in the other 1943 cab and am selling that for 75.00 locally. Guy should be here shortly to pick it up. I now have two extra 1943 pcbs. My new monitor I bought will now go to my Tron restoration.

I have completed one so far. I went to buy a Super Pac and while I was there the guy gave me a working U.N. Squadron in a Punch-Out!! cab. I'm not really a fan of either game but I was still sort of new to the hobby, had extra space and it was free so I picked it up. It had the original monitors and the two piece glass bezel and the power transformer and that was about it after I striped out all the U.N. stuff. Anyway it took about 6 years to acquire all the parts I need because I was waiting for some good deals. Then I spent a good week doing bodywork and painting. Got it all put together then sold it for $450. I don't seem to have any before pictures

The person I sold it to brought it to the Northwest Pinball and Gameroom Show and it became the machine the world record was set on in 2010 with a score 18,999,970, by Sean Sandnes

I'm working on a Midway Journey now that was converted to Time Soldiers

I bought my Ms. Pac as an empty cabinet and put her back together. I was able to get a lot of the parts I needed at the same place and E-bayed the rest. I got her together in about a month. That was about 10 years ago and she's working great. I think I paid $150 for the game and parts and around $100 for the rest of the parts.

Nice man. Did your side art look as good as it does now when you got it? Or did you buy the side art laminate?

Here's a pic of my Stargate, not quite finished, but good shot of the repaint.. It was converted to JAMMA, painted black. I collected parts off of 2 other Stargates that had to be parted out, found a bezel on Ebay, various parts on here, etc..collected parts for 5+ yrs for it.
