What game did you think You'd Have by Now

For me its MK2 and Assault. Both I played to death bitd; I always planned on picking them up; just havent gotten around to it yet.

I got all of my "Grails" I think. Its a fluid situation for other machines. The main ones I wanted were dedicated MK, MK2, and Killer Instinct. I have all of those as well as most of the games I liked playing in my arcade years ('90s). I do want a dedicated MK3 and a nice SF2:CE with all the CE art installed.

Never thought I would get classics other than Ms. Pac and Galaga but I gained an appreciation for them even though I missed that era and have gotten some nice ones. Asteroids Deluxe, Frogger, Centipede...I'm happy to have them.

Cool, we are opposite -

I grew up in the Golden Age, so played Asteroids Deluxe, Frogger, Centipede, but like you apprecaite other era's. I missed playing in the 90's i was busy with work and kids but i appreciate the MK games and remember when they came out. It was the 1st time someone told me that i had to go check out a game in probably 10 years. I remember taking my 2 year old son and i was watching a guy play MK in the Arcade a nice new machine with the cool red t molding and all of a sudden the character pulls the guys beating heart from his chest, blew me away lol. The only other game i remember from the 90's was Smash TV, cool Robotron type game.

I thought for sure I'd have a dual monitor Run n' Gun and a Virtua Racing/2049 by now when I started. I didn't anticipate the 2K's being the roller coaster of unemployment it wound up being.

Phet my dear (and the rest of you) there really aren't too many games that can't be found on any given day, it plain and simply comes down to whether or not you're willing to pay for them.

Pac-Mania, Galaga or UMK3...The latter two are easily had, but I've yet to get them... I think I'll be searching for my Pac-Mania for a while :(

I'm surprised that I don't have a Street Fighter 2 by now. I do own Champion Edition as a PCB and I could play it on my super gun, but that's as close as I've got. Considering how much time I spent playing the SF 2 series at the arcade or on my Super Nintendo, it just seems like a crime not to have one. Part of my problem is I'm slightly picky and would like to find a specific type of cabinet and not just a conversion.

I've thought about looking at having this one shipped, but I'd still have to convert it back.

Xenophobe. People bad-mouth it all the time, I see it converted into god-knows-what, but there never seems to be one near me. Come on home, Xeno, I've got your spot reserved!

For me its Moon Patrol. I could have got one but it was offered to me when I was was working on a Food Fight and I couldnt get both.

Andrew

I was about to say there were no games I expected to have but didn't get then I read your post and it reminded me. I have now passed on two moon patrols that were cheap due to different circumstances at the time. It is possibly the one must have game that I do not have. Can't say I've looked too hard but I do need one eventually. Especially now that I'm giving my arcade a skating rink theme. Moon patrol was the one game i always played BITD at my local roller rink.
