And is it worth 250.00 in non-working condition?

In theory, (if the rom chips still have their data), couldn't someone dump them and determine which board it is that way?

Seems like a high gamble at 250.00 even if it is the "holy grail" of arcade PCB's.

Thanks for the info guys, It's good to know about Mr. Burger. I see a lot of the boards on Ebay are from him. The 75.00 non working Ms Pacman ones are kind of tempting... He must have a ton! But they all have nasty boge wire jobs and damaged edge connectors.

This is a Moon Cresta bootleg, see this thread for more info (pic below for those who don want to look at the link).

Good advice above about Bill Burger. Best to avoid him unless it's a really special item, and you just want to pay and get it, no questions.

If you want dead Pac/Ms Pac boards, you can probably get better condition ones from people here, for less. There are LOTS of them out there.

Just looking for damaged boards to fill in my spare time trying to repair them. You know, winter is coming in MN... But for 75.00 I passed.

what does boge mean?

While a repair can lead to a functional outcome (the game works), the overall aesthetics is what elevates one to a higher level.

Invisible or near-invisible trace repair is not always feasible but when it is done it shows the quality of the repair but also the repair-person's level of care on the work done. This is what Steve Jobs accounted about his dad once, and I try to follow:

"He said that his father refused to use poor wood for the back of cabinets, or to build a fence that wasn't constructed as well on the back side as it was the front. Jobs likened it to using a piece of plywood on the back of a beautiful chest of drawers. "For you to sleep well at night, the aesthetic, the quality, has to be carried all the way through."
