A buddy of mine picked these up and is trying to ID a couple of them. Mainly the one with the blue paint. Any ideas?

image hosting is so easy and simplistic. i have no clue why people in 2017 have all these problems posting normal positioned photos. sigh. i'm with ya vector!

pics 2 and 3 of the 4 pic set appear to be a Sega convert-a-cab, and a Universal cab.
But as I have neither you'll want confirmation from others on that.

No idea what that blue one is.... looks like it has a Monroe joystick as used in Gyruss and Time Pilot.

Probably posting from tapatalk. It's a known "issue". If you're going to take pics with your phone and post with tapatalk please hold the phone landscape. Otherwise post from your PC later.

yeah that's not good then. this needs to be addressed and fixed asap!

a fix of this magnitude warrants tombo and mr greg to quit their day jobs and attend to this 24/7 until it's been resolved! :)

Not quite... pic 2 is not a Convert-a-game cab, it looks more like the Sega/Gremlin cabinet Frogger came in (although the 1p/2p button placement suggests it wasn't a Frogger). The Universal cab could be a few different ones, including LadyBug and Cosmic Avenger.

Sorry, I had posted the the thread from my phone. The images were the proper orientation there.

You know, for such a photogenic dog that always looks happy, she can be quite the bitch some times. Haha

When you're looking at your phone normally (vertically)... they will come out sideways on a horizontal monitor I suspect (I don't "do" cell phones, so this is purely a guess).

The "Universal" cab is much skinnier, depth-wise, than a regular Universal cab, doesn't have the word "Universal" on the side art like real Universal cabs do, and doesn't have a Universal coin door. Any tags on the back of it? Definitely weird...

Yep. This. Holding a phone vertically causes the sideways photos... This is because your phone saves all photos the same way (widescreen format)

The reason the photos look right on your phone is because phones have software that automatically rotates the photos to whatever orientation you're viewing it at.

It happens more on this forum than most places because usually when you want to take a photo of an arcade cab, you tend to want to go vertical because you can get a closer shot while getting most/all of the cab in the frame. Since most arcade cabinets are upright and vertical, this makes sense.
