Ok guys, i've got my cabinet pulled apart and stripped.
Going to paint it this weekend.

As of right now i'm going to use a 60 in 1 in it from someone that sells them here.

Monitor seems to work ok.
I have a functioning power supply.

I have on the way (or soon to be):
Original Pac Bezel and marquee.
Phoenix CPO.

My control panel was modded (see my other thread, no real damage) so it needs new buttons and joystiq.
What should i get? Do i want a 4 way? Or 4 way with optional 8 way?
For buttons were they originally white? What brand should i buy? The blue light up ones (which are all busted up) don't seem to fit right.
It has wood underneath.

I need orange T molding, is it all the same?

I need a jamma harness, that i know. But am i to just put connectors on it to goto the control panel directly or should i put another harness on the CP side so i can easily remove the control panel? Kinda like my MKII.
If i should put another harness on it, what is it called and where do i get it.

Any other items you can think of that i may want to buy now, let me know.
I'd like to get all this stuff at one place at fair prices, so if you know a place i'd appreciate that too.

If you don't like what i'm doing with the machine (which was a mess when i got it), feel free to keep it to yourself.

Thanks,
Joe

The switching sticks are never practical because you can't count on guests to switch them properly.

I have always just installed two sticks side by side, a 4 way and an 8-way. I usually use the Ms. Pac reunion stick for the 4-way and a Wico balltop for the 8-way. If you put the 4-way on the left then you can put them right next to each other with no room between the bases and it works perfectly (because the wico stick is taller).

You can indeed wire directly to your controls if you want to save time, however you will be kicking yourself later if you ever need to pull the whole panel off for any reason. Thus I like to put some sort of disconnects on there. I usually salvage mine out of other equipment, but Bob Roberts should have what you need.

Let me ask you this, do any of the 60 in 1 games require the 8 way?
I'd really prefer to keep my pacman CP in original condition.

If it is necessary, i think i'd prefer a little inconvieniance over 2 holes in the cp.

Yes about half of them are 8-way and half of them are 4-way. The 60-1 is basically a defective product for that reason alone as there is no good way to deal with that (unfortunately every other multi-board out there suffers from the same problem).

Even putting in 2 joysticks like I prefer isn't a great way to deal with it, as guests will invariably grab the wrong one.
