What does the bottom of a Donkey Kong cab look like?

Strange request I know. But I picked up a Donkey Kong today and on the bottom it seems to have like a wooden box frame on it. Looks like its original, but there is no way to put leg levelers on it with this frame in place. If I remove it, its seems like it would sit too low to the ground and make playing it while standing up a pain in the ass. I haven't seen this type of cab in ages so I have no idea what the bottom of it looked like.

Yes, there is a 2"x4" frame built on the interior perimeter of the base. There are wheels which sit just behind this frame on the back. And for the record, they hurt like a bitch when they are placed on your chest.

Well, its a Donkey Kong cab converted into a Playchoice 10. :D Good call on those slider strips Mod. I'll have to find me some.

There was a video someone posted awhile back that showed what they did to add a bottom to this machine. That's what I did and then put some leg levelers on the new bottom.

Actually that pic is from my dedicated Playchoice cabinet. The only difference between this base and a DK base is the height. They are not made from 2x4s as someone mentioned. They are made from 1 inch lumber. This base is 1 x 4.5" high, DK style bases are 1 x 3.5" high. Coincidentally, I am in the process of building a Nintendo base for a cabaret cab and am adding leg levelers to that one. I am just replacing the corner wedges normally used in the 4 corners for strength with 2x2's cut to length. Then a t-nut gets set in the center and in goes the leg leveler.

That bottom piece looks pretty slick Phet. The original piece isn't in that bad of shape, but I figure if I'm going to repaint the whole cab, I might as well replace the bottom piece and make the whole thing look nice.
