Hey guys,

Just picked up my first pin a month or so ago, an F14 project, and am wondering what 'fully shopped' means.

Is this simply ensuring the machine works, replacing dead lamps, waxing the play field, and installing a new rubber kit or is there more to it than that?

Thank! Ryan

its a term meaning it was sent to a shop and professional tuned up/repaired,rubbered etc...

but everybody says that when they clean, wax, and rubber

The term "fully shopped" is HIGHLY subjective. I'm pretty anal so with that being said what I personally believe it SHOULD mean is:
1.) All rubbers have been replaced
2.) All other worn items have been replaced (linkage, pawls, flipper guides, coil sleeves, EOS switches and such)
3.) Playfield cleaned and waxed
4.) All blown bulbs have been replaced
5.) Leaf switches have been adjusted or replaced
6.) Broken items - ramps and other plastics have been replaced.

What you usually end up with getting is items #1,#3 and #4.

When buying a pin this list would be good to hit bullet points with the seller.
Also, do research and find out common play field wear areas on what ever game you're looking at and have the seller take pictures of these areas.

It often means that the playfield has been wiped down with Windex and the rubber rings that are easy to get to without doing any disassembly have been replaced.

It is highly subjective for sure, such as some people's meaning of "restored."

Thanks guys! I am planning to keep my F14 but I want to eventually properly shop it and this helps get me going in the right direction.
