eBay - 3rd Party What do you guys think of this Journey on the bay?

Silliness. That largely defeats the purpose of conversation and new perspectives on old topics.

There are no new perspectives to discuss here. All the perspectives are happening in those threads, which is what you should be reading and posting in.

I'm also not interested to the point of hours of reading. As you can see, plenty of other fellow members were happy to share links and info when asked.

And we're not interested in reposting links to every thread just for you, and every time someone asks the same questions over and over again. If everyone does that, it clogs up the forum and lowers the experience for everyone else. (See Facebook.)

This place is a shared resource. Searching first isn't 'silliness'. It's a basic courtesy to the other 2000+ registered users here, and it's basic internet etiquette. Please take 30 seconds to make an attempt to help yourself before asking hundreds of other people to read your question and help you.

About 20 years ago my now-wife was given a bunch of free tickets to a concert from Deep Purple, the Scorpions, and Dio. Figuring, "It's free" (and "hey, I'd like to see Steve Morse play") we went. On the way there we picked up one of her young work friends whom I would describe as a Southern Sorority Princess. As soon as the SSP got in the car she started gushing about how excited she was to see Dio. "I just LOVE Dio!" We looked at each other like, "O-kaaaaay..." and got going.

Dio opened the show. The SSP was looking more and more confused as his set went on. Finally she turned to me and asked, "Are they gonna play 'Whip It'?"

True story...

"Whip it" is coming right up after Rainbow in the Dark, and Holy Diver...

You're pretty uppity for a new kid.

I've been in this hobby for a long time, since the RGVAC days.

I just didn't post much there, and didn't register or post here for a long time, because I spent most of my time lurking, searching, and reading.

It took years of studying what was already written to get to the point where I actually had something useful to contribute.

Now if you'll just work on your people skills, we'll be able to consider you a well-rounded member of the community!

What's the cliff notes version of the situation with this salmon guy
You had to have been there when it happened….

The full thread you get now is basically the cliff notes version….

the thread(s) have been been chopped up and deleted and then all added to one thread.

Oh man, you really missed out on a doozie of a thread as it happened in real time….

Ummm...
Bad manners (and what you have posted in regard to rightfully being admonished, as well as not giving a shit enough to actually put some effort into reading anything) is just that- bad manners.
Being obnoxious on top of that only gets you one thing around here.

Good luck.
Not a single person was talking to you. Be quiet now.

I asked if any of those already in the know would share a simple summed up version of an old thread that is 71 pages deep. You are not permitted to police the questions of other members nor are you required to respond. 🤫

A piece of human garbage sold $250k in games. He delayed shipping them out, and then a "fire" broke out at his one star pot farm warehouse where he claimed they were stored and about to be shipped. He claimed they were damaged and refused to send refunds because he did not have the money. It was discovered the "fire" did not damage any games, not all of the games were in the warehouse because he did not actually have all of the games he sold, and some of the ones he did were not of the quality he claimed. It took months and involvement from law enforcement to get him to move. In the end he eventually sent out some of the games that were originally sold, forced others to take lower value substitute games, and sent refunds to others; some were never made whole. Then he got his garbage friend to sell games he did have but, for some unknown reason, never shipped to the original buyers... sometimes for the same price as he originally "sold" them for here. This is the scammer, Steven Salmon.

My friend, I appreciate you. 71 pages succinctly summed up in a single response. Thank you.

As far as what happened, I hate to hear all of that and an absolute shame for someone like that to steal from and rattle the trust of the community.

How would you know if you didn't read the original thread?

Stop trying to be a troll, it's not working junior.
