what do you do when you hit maximum capacity???

I hit it about a month or two ago. I am actually panicking right now. I have games that cannot leave my collection but I have nowhere for them to go. I keep thinking I will find some magical way to rearrange my basement to make them all fit. :)

You'll find a way! If anything, post a youtube video about it and ask people to offer suggestions.Of course I know you'll get 7500 people posting "I know how you can make some space, give me some of your games",but I'm sure some people will offer helpful suggestions. :)

i am at max. space. finally. it sucks. i just basically deal with it now. i think the only option i have to make more space is to get a bunch of mini's. we are basically waiting for the economy and housing market to pick up so we can sell and buy a bigger house, and i will specifically be searching for one with a good sized basement.

but, as far as the question goes, it's kinda stinks because i see decent games every few weeks, and there have been some decent priced games on my list popping up lately. but i'm happy with everything i have so i am not really gonna sell anything to pick anything else up. so the wait is on for a bigger house.

God this thread makes me glad that my parents have a huge room in their house that they don't use and I can store as many games out there as I want, not to mention the pole barn if needed (unheated) now all I need to do is win the lottery so I can buy all the games I want...

Out Of Space

Well, my garage is full of projects, I have overflow games in a bedroom, two in the dining area, and the gameroom is pretty full, too. What a roomy hobby! My next move is to take the ping pong table out of the game room and make a new row.

Yea I'm with ya bro. I'm at the same stage. 13 in house. Another 11 in the garage. I had to ship a Blasteroids off to the storage unit even though it's fully working now, after having to reprogram an Eprom and ready to enter the arcade. I shudder to think what the winter season will do to a working game in an unheated storage unit, on the very end of the southwest side of the building, where all the wind and weather comes from.
I need to build an arcade/workshop is what needs to happen. Both the house and garage are heated so there's no problem there. But I fear for the one in the storage unit. Asking my brother in law if he wants to put one in his basement and he's starting to turn onto the idea, his mancave. Of course he'll probably not want a Blasteroids but some bronze era classic.
But the real answer is to build a seperate building so I can invite friends and their freinds over and they don't need to be in my house except for maybe the bathroom. I hate cleaning house for company and I seldom do. Until I can get something put together I'll keep looking for prospective candidates. I have something like 33 projects so I'm not hurting for something to do until the next big 'must have in collection'.
What is the hurt to this plan is that I live within the city ordinance and am going to have to move out of the city to build what I want on my own property. Would rather just pay one property tax. Add to that they have met housing now coming down our street, coupled with current economy, I'd never get out of the property what money I put additionally into it now.
So, to build that arcade I have to move entirely. Maybe not a bad idea anyway before the second dip hits. This economic mess is far from being over and is just kicking off.

Once again I've managed to fill every available slot in my garcade. I swear it doesn't take long to do in this hobby!

Only problem is, I basically enjoy all that I have now, and hopefully this time around I won't have to sell any more for cash :(

My question to all of you is, what do you do when you hit maximum capacity?? Do you sell games off? Do you put blinders on and stop looking at ads? Or do you keep bringing them home regardless?

I also know that thanks to my current predicament, I'm going to need to add yet another outlet, if not 2! Call the fire station now! :(
Easy answer.
I filled up 2 room and half of my shop in about 6 months.
Now I'm in the process of building a 32x15 edition. I'm not sure what i will do if that gets filled. I think it is safe to say until the edition is complete the buying process will be slowed down a bit.
