what do you do when you hit maximum capacity???

make friends and infest their homes.

find cheap storage

build/buy a new structure for more space (if you have the room cargo containers are pretty cheap 20ft is about $1k)

find a bigger home

Heh. I KNOW what you do with yours :) You put them in a good friend's finished basement ;)
Chris

That is what I'm up against. I have 3 at my in-laws and 1 at a friends. Now I'm over booked again. I hate to let them go but maybe Embryon will be for sale soon.:(

I plan out the garage in sketchup and say HEY if i get rid of the workbench I can fit more games in! Who cares that I'd need to run them on a generator and provide a porta potty if we ever have a game night....

So I keep buying more shit. I'm thinking about taking out the floor and expanding downwards. I think the owner won't notice if I go about 5 stories down.

I had 27 crammed into my gameroom and I thinned the herd of ones I got just because they were rare now I'm down to 22.Which is nice because there is space between them and you can actually see the sideart. But I would say figure out which game is the "Weekest link"/like the least. Leave that one on the chopping block that way you can keep looking and if you find something you must have you have something you have allready decided you could part with.

I'm pretty much at max capacity myself and the big thing is I've finally started to focus on fixing up what I have. Q*Bert is probably my best example. I bought the thing 6 years ago and it's just now getting restored. It's easy to lose focus on a project when a new one keeps coming in. If there was something I really wanted I have some games I would be okay with trading to make room.

build a new shed twice as large and return the garage to a garage. the garcade wins, you win more space the wife wins somewhere the park the car, lawnmower and somewhere for he kids to do stuff. you all win.

I put an addition on my house. While framing it in 100 degree weather, I reminded myself every 10 seconds that I'm a total asshole for not having a normal hobby.

The addition shares a common wall with the garage, so that can be readily absorbed too.

Build on. Unfortunately, I reached max capacity the day the extra room was built and still have plenty of reserve games in the garage...

My next plan is to move into a bigger house. :)

Buy more. Seriously, I should have been done about 3 or 4 games ago, but I keep finding ways to squeeze another one in. I have only sold one "keeper" game, a RoadBlasters, which was a personal grail last year, but it made way for Tron so it was worth it at least.

I've hit the maximum space in my original hobby a long time ago. I sold some stuff, kept some stuff. Now I am in a bigger place and I **could** go into it again but the drive isn't there right now. As far as arcade games and pinballs go, I don't have space for those kind of things. Let's hope I dont end up buying any and have to work out deals with people to let me store them someplace!

I have only 1 game in the house and the rest in the garage. As it sits I have perfect room along the front of the garage for a nice row of 7, but I have 8 so 1 may have to go we'll see. I'm tring to decide if I want to try and talk my wife into turning the office into a game room...... - Barry

Once again I've managed to fill every available slot in my garcade. I swear it doesn't take long to do in this hobby!

Only problem is, I basically enjoy all that I have now, and hopefully this time around I won't have to sell any more for cash :(

My question to all of you is, what do you do when you hit maximum capacity?? Do you sell games off? Do you put blinders on and stop looking at ads? Or do you keep bringing them home regardless?

I also know that thanks to my current predicament, I'm going to need to add yet another outlet, if not 2! Call the fire station now! :(

I hit it about a month or two ago. I am actually panicking right now. I have games that cannot leave my collection but I have nowhere for them to go. I keep thinking I will find some magical way to rearrange my basement to make them all fit. :)

Living in an apartment, I basically hit capacity the moment I started. That's why if I actually find the large behemoth games that I'm looking for, I will need to keep them in public storage until I get more room.

As for the one game I currently own, I disassembled the cabinet and just run it off a supergun, much more space conservative. :)
