What do you consider to be the best 2-Player Jamma game out there?

There's lots of talk about DD and FF.
How cou?d I forget one of my favorites and the only one to make a good transition into 3D

Die Hard Arcade/ Dynamite Cop

Snow Bros or similar games like Tumblepop
Anything in the Pang/Buster Bros series
Time Soldiers if you have the LS-30s
Carrier Airwing (for a horizontal shooter... since you want beat 'em ups I'm assuming your monitor is horizontal) or UN Squadron or In the Hunt
Rampart (2P joystick version). Not nearly as good as the 3P version, but still fun.

Personally I think Double Dragon is horrible now. It's way too short (which is why I'm selling my PCB).

Yeah everyone has played Double Dragon but how many have played on linked Cadash and 4P Growl on a twin cab setup?

Well, that's the plan for now.

We actually have a four player Cadash in a dual upright .vs cab at an arcade in Tacoma. I intend to copy it if I ever find the space to pull the Nintendo cab back inside...

Try playing it with one credit :)

I used to... because I'd be sick of it after that and not want to continue. :)

That board and Bad Dudes I owned only because my friends wanted to play them. Now that we don't hang out as much (us having kids, some of them moving away, etc.) I don't see the point in holding onto PCBs I don't play.

Totally forgot about this one! One of the best co-op games. Also, Nightmare in the Dark which is modeled after it.
I consider the Blue Elf 2 a good buy just for this one game. Also, if the questions didn't exclude non-Jamma, my #1 answer, without a doubt, would be Bubble Bobble.

Yeah that's how I played it BITD but the more I think of it, it's an abomination to see cadash in a VS twin.

yeah my NITD cost me more than the price of a blue elf or XXX:1 MVS cart. It was the last item for my MVS collection which is now pretty complete so I had to just suck it up and buy it.

Completely agree. If this was a non-JAMMA list. Bubble Bobble would be #1 on my list no question.

I'm actually looking for a classic Taito cab that I can use to make a custom dedicated Bubble Bobble. It's going to be a hard journey, but hopefully it can happen someday.

Taito F3 Bubble Symphony in your DD cab FTW

Street Fighter II

Specifically:

Guinness World Records awarded Street Fighter II three world records in the Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition 2008. These records are "First Fighting Game to Use Combos", "Most Cloned Fighting Game", and "Biggest-Selling Coin-Operated Fighting Game."

So by sales I'd say we have a winner. :)
