What do you consider to be the best 2-Player Jamma game out there?

Was looking for some feedback on what everyone feels is their best 2-Player Jamma game that they have played.
Personally I got Splatterhouse from Garry and love it.
So...... Whats everyone else's favorite?

Naturally everyone's take on this will be different, but I'm partial to Final Fight and The Punisher. Then again, I'm a big fan of the side-scrolling beat 'em ups.

Are you looking for side scroll beat em ups only or can anything play?

I am partial to puzzle games. Bloxeed is great to play head to head.

Why?
What other game do you have in mind?

Well, that was a joke but since you asked I find my level of enjoyment for two player game categories usually follows this order:

Puzzle games (Tetris, Puzzle Bobble, etc.)
Head to head fighters (Street Fighter, MK series, etc.)
Side scroll beat em ups (Punisher, Magic Sword)

and way, way down at the bottom of the list are sports games...

Golden Axe

This is actually Sega System 16, not JAMMA.

Growl.
/end thread.

Growl is technically 4-player, but if we're saying any JAMMA game that has 2-player or more, then yes, it's an awesome game. :)

Here's my list (no specific order, 2-player co-op only):

Final Fight
Double Dragon
Punisher
Smash T.V.
3 Wonders
Pang!/Buster Bros.
Metal Slug X

I'm sure I forgot a few, but these are ones that come to mind right now.

2-6 player and/or head-to-head:

X-Men
TMNT:Turtles in Time
AvP
D&D:SOM
SFII:HF
SSFIIT
SFIII:3rd Strike
Puzzle Bobble
etc. (This list could go on forever) :)

Elevator Action Returns; Smash TV; T-Mek(it's JAMMA+, but whatever) are my favorites, I've probably spent the most time playing T-Mek out of those three though.

I guess I knew that but I've never seen Growl in a 4-player cab.

OK, I submit Heavy Barrel for my vote then... well, it's JAMMA+...

Yeah, to be honest, I don't think it ever released as a 4-player cab. In the manual, it shows that it's capable of 4-player play via linking two Taito cabs. Other than that, they just say that it's playable in various 4-player JAMMA cabs as long as you have the right 3P-4P aux harness.

I was looking at that too. At first I thought it was like Cadash where you could link two boards but the flyer says only one board is necessary.

I have never seen this game but the premise is pretty retarded. Animal poachers???

Hey, the game was trying to get the message out there!

Actually, it was pretty lame and generic, the main characters are clearly modeled after Indiana Jones and the levels are jungle themed. But it's pretty fun to play with a lot of different interactive things going on throughout levels (dynamic levels, weapons, etc.).

Thats a good list. I would add Caotain Commando, DD Revenge and Armored Warriors.
I also love me some Cadash, Spiderman Arcade and Golden Axe RODA.

AvP is not to be missed. I just set one up and it really has a ton of variety for a FF based game. Its like bFF and Metal Slug in a single 3P game!

Growl can do 4P on one cab and it has video and sound for another cab. Just wait for CAX this year. I was going to build a cable to edge connector so that we can have it run in a pair of DD cabs side by side.
