Hey guys, i searched all over these forums about putting in a 60 in 1 and couldn't find all the answers to the questions i still have. I have a already converted cab i just picked up cheap and its currently set up running a ring king. It has a 19" vertical G07 CBO monitor in it and i decided i wanna make it into a 60 in 1 multicade.

First off i think i need to get a "data east to Jamma Adaptor" because the 60 in 1 is jamma.
Is that correct? ( i have an adaptor laying in the cab when i opened it up and im wondering if that is what it is. ill post numbers soon.

However i plan to wire up new buttons and joysticks in a different layout anyways so will the adaptor be relevant, ? (i planned to have 1 joystick (ms pac style) 3 buttons, trackball, and 2 buttons for 1 and 2 player)

Here's the other questions i have>
1. The arcade i have is set up with the standard power supply black box type with the screws in the back, what all is involved in making this work? I see the 60 in 1 gets its power from a computer supply type?

Would anyone be able to explain in a nutshell the procedures for what i need to do?

I have watched almost all the randy fromm dvds and have the big blue book but still kind confused on some aspects of this 60 in 1 board etc.

Ok so after more research im thinking all i might need is

1. The jamma harness like the one found here>

http://www.perfumecove.com/Wiring_c_16.html

2. The 60 in 1 PCB (does this include the PC adaptor with it anyone know?)

3. Buttons, joystick etc.?

4. I still leave the isolation transformer in my cab for the monitor, but what about the power supply in the machine already, will it still be used or will the pc power adaptor off the pcb power the monitor now?

This thing has me thinking too hard and got me confused lol. Can anyone clear this up. thanks!

I reccomend going to Jammaboards.com.
That's where I got all the stuff for my 60-1. The prices are actually really good. I got the joy sticks & buttons & frankly the Jamma harness is friggin' awesome. It's prewired and all set up for you to hook up your joysticks & buttons, etc so you don't have solder or splice anything.

He sells the "A" quality 60-1 boards too for a pretty reasonably price. Don't mess around with the "B" boards because they have nothing but problems when you're trying to hook up a trackball. All the stuff you need to make the 60-1 is there.
I have nothing but good things to say about the stuff I got from there so...

Just my opinion.
Good luck,
ERIC

I just bought a Jamma to DE adapter after waiting for months because they are not easy to find. I recommend just getting the harness. I bought the adapter so I could also play the original game when the city inspectors come by because the multi is going in my bar.

haha nice one man!

If you dont have a Test or Service button in your cab power up the game with dipswitch 4 ON this will take you into the service menu and all adjustments can be done via buttons 1,2,3 on your control panel, save all your settings using the player 1 start button, power down machine and reset dip4 to off before powering back on

I recommend everyone add wiring to make your 2nd fire/jump button also the test button, and the player 2 button also the service button. Makes things very easy to access the menu and make changes without having to get access to the pcb...
