I have here a pile of stuff from where someone converted a Stargate to a WWF Superstars. Whomever did this conversion had the switcher plugged into the utility outlet of the Williams PSU and the monitor to the williams psu harness. I don't want to do that unless I have to.

I have a cab being built that I plan on running a JROK multiwilliams if/when I ever find one. What do I need to do to get this stuff working off the same power supply? I want the machine to cut off when I hit the switch in the back. Not have the board keep working and only the monitor shut off with the switch. I would love to reuse any williams parts that I have or somehow integrate it with the switcher? I don't know.

I guess what I need to know is how to hook up the monitor with the stuff above. I know I need an iso transformer, right? I assumed the williams psu would cover that. I already have a jamma harness that came with the wwf game.

I want to mess around in the garage with Superstars while I wait to get the cab done and find the multiwilliams stuff. It's been 1.5 years since he made that setup so I'll have to find one when it pops up.

You will need an AC wiring harness. It attaches to the white plug just under the word Inc on the control panel in your picture. That will include the power switch and the interlock. Dokert was making them, check with him, he may still have some left. Or check and see if it is still left in the cabinet.

That same plug supplies the isolated power for the monitor and the marquee. Since it is switched you are set for the monitor. To get power for the switcher, you tap the wires leading to lug 1 and 8 on the transformer input. This is 120VAC that is also switched by the interlock and power switch. That and a 3 amp slow blow fuse and your power requirements are set. Don't forget to screw down all the pieces of the power brick so they don't rattle around.

Don't plug the switcher into the socket that is part of the power brick. It is not switched. It is there for plugging soldering irons or other AC powered equipment in while fixing the machine.

Wow, cool. I thought I read you shouldn't plug it into the brick's outlet. And everything isn't bolted down cause I'm in the middle of cleaning it up and gonna paint that board white. This williams power supply came from the stargate I found on the side of the road earlier this year...

I just doublechecked and I have an extra AC harness from it so I think I'm good to go 100%. I'll let you know if I have any questions.

I'm glad I rescued this setup from my uncle. It still had most of the Stargate harnesses and a complete power supply that's already bolted to it's board that I'm using for the boardset I shipped you.
