What did you buy at Kingsport auction today???

It was my first auction, and I thought most everything went pretty cheap, except the broken Mrs Pacmans.. I picked up a Joust, and a Moon patrol converted to Robocop, and a box of junk. I missed out on the Galaxian Cocktail (it went for 150, I just couldnt go higher!). I meant to take a few shots of the poor converted tempests, and the two galagas that I think no one wanted for free..

That Joust for $225 or whatever was the cheapest I have ever seen one...I got a Vanguard and a Mousin Around Pinball and my friend got a Tommy The Who Pinball.....we ran out of room after that and we had to leave...

Auction

awesome guys,, i was there a couple yrs ago and got outbid on a Tron at 900 bucks, things were stupid expensive then.... I have picked up some scores at the auctions though. Bought a Hard Drivin there for 40 bucks, Centipeded for like 225.00 .... Bought a
SafeCracker pinball for my buddy there. He said ill pay 3500 bucks if its minty....it was very minty. Snagged it for 2700 bucks.
Oh and I picked up another buddy a Star Trek captains Chairfor 700 bucks back when they were still worth alot. I will be at the next Winston auction for sure Picking upo my Baby Pac my friend has been repairing for me.

Are these the same people who do the auction in Winston Salem? I was planning on going in September, didn't know if it was worth my time.

Auction

Yes its Auction game sales( auctiongamesales.com for schedule) Should be worth your time if you are buying, i wouldnt waste time selling your games at an auction though, Ive never been happy with anything I sold other than changers... Never know when something cool will pop up.... And sorry to anybody who lives out there in the wild where you can barely find anything cool other than a snow storm....

Kingsport Auction

I took four machines to sell, sold only two of them but also brought back the following,

2, Space Invaders
2, Area 51 Site four
Gauntlet Dark Legacy (nice)
Pole Position 2
Mach 3
Asteroids Deluxe (flawless side art)
Dig Dug
Chicago Coin, Super Scope (EM shooter)
Gas Pump (To use at my shop)

I also brought back Andrews machines that he bought, so in other words the truck was packed.

Great day hanging with other Klov'rs and what a long day it was. Wow what a bunch of stuff.
Got to get ready for Winston-Salem..............

Wish I had known so many of you guys were there. I can speak for experience that many of the prices were very reasonable. A great deal of the pins went for less than 1000. Most notably was Freddy's Nightmare... one for 550 and one for 650. Also a Tales from the Crypt at 850. I am sure I will regret that one in the future. Unfortunately, I have other places for money to be. I did bid on a white Neo Geo that was pretty sweet (225). Other pins that were less than a grand was X-files, High Speed, Terminator..... I didn't see much in the classics row that interested me. Although, I put in a bid or so on a pair of Monaco GP cabarets, the Galaxian CT. Maybe, I will have more money and room for the next auction.

A lot of those pins were trashed though...that Terminator 2 for $800 which needed who knows how much work and the X-Files needed even more...sometimes looking at total value and seeing what needs to be put into them with time/effort/parts/gas to and from it's not worth it...

There were some vids I wanted but nothing spectacular MUST have for me...the MACH 3 was the first one I have seen at auction, if I did not already have one I would have went for it....but the games on my short list...none of them were at this auction at all....

I can help you make more room if you need it ;)

You are not still thinking about the red tent that went for $80.00 are you??????

I thought you got it , if not I would have grabbed it but oh well, we would not have gotten it on the truck..... Wow, what a load!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
