What did the original Atari Pong Knobs look like?

PONG!!!

I have seen at least 3 types of knobs on the original Atari Syzygy Pong games. Some are all silver (or aluminum), while others are black, and either look like a Tempest knob, or something similar.

Anyone have any idea if they came out with several types, or which came first?

It looks like the metal ones are on the flyer. The flyers are a good thing to check, but sometimes they will vary a little bit since the pictures are usually prototypes updated to look final.

When I built my replica, I used this style:

Yup, those are the style I have on mine.

Anybody have an idea what the serial number system means? Mine says AD-0088, but I have seen others with different letters.
