These are awesome! The ArcadeSD now comes with the side tabs like the BitKit has, mine in the pic was the first run.

Made and sold by forum member @twistedsymphony at bit-district.com

Thanks again for hooking me up!

I went to the site as well - was going to send an e-mail asking these same questions. Want one of these for my Bitkit.

Is this to keep the components warm or something? Good for arctic environment?

Or is it just to give it that Chinese multi board sick style?

Pay no attention to the board behind the plastic curtain.

He doesn't have a link up yet. Just email him about buying one. I suggest buying one of each if you own the two boards.

Super easy to deal with and a great seller.

The main reason I had these made was that I am always swapping out jamma boards and I am always worried I'm gonna mess it up somehow. The cases keep the boards nice and clean and safe.

:D

And if you need a case for your Arpicade, I am selling these but there is quite a long backlog...

Cases look nice, but I'd worry about heat build-up personally. That said, I don't know how warm/cool those PCBS run. I'd never consider putting my ARpiCADES in a case... all three of mine are overclocked with fans & extra heatsinks...

The only that chip that puts off any heat on the BitKit is the sound amp. It is a little warm during game play, otherwise the board is cool as a cucumber :)

For anyone interested in buying one of these cases I've got them listed on the site now: https://bit-district.com/arcade/arcade-sd/bit-kit-enclosure.html

For those of you asking "why" someone would want a case, the biggest reasons are:

1. for those people who frequently swap boards (such as candy cab or supergun owners) it makes it a lot easier to handle/store the board without worrying about traces getting scratched or smaller components getting knocked around.

2. for those people who want to permanently mount the board in a cab since the board only offers 2 screw holes on the back edge and the case provides a mounting hole in each corner allowing you to more securely mount your board in your cab. The case grips the PCB along the entire parameter so once mounted the weight of the JAMMA harness will be evenly distributed across the edges of the PCB instead of around the two mounting holes in the back corner.

----

I only have a few printed at the moment and unfortunately my printer has been down for repairs for the last couple of weeks (still waiting on some parts).

I know there are some of you wanting to order a case for both the Bit-Kit and the Arcade SD so Once I've got more inventory available I'll update this thread.
