Hi, I have a Wells Gardner 25" monitor.

The frame says 25K7197.

The tube is a Zenith and has a sticker that says WG 776290.

The yoke is still attached and I think it has 9 pins (going clockwise it has one pin at about 5 o'clock, then there's a space, then the next 8 pins).

Thanks for the help.

So any standard res 25" K7000 chassis will work, it doesn't have to be the Zenith chassis?

An alternative for you is to ohm out the yoke and order a Wei-Ya chassis for ~$70 shipped to your door from Alvaamusements.com.

Call Alva Amusement, tell them you need a 25" CGA, low-impedance, 10-pin, large neck chassis. I know that the tube only has 9 pins, but the socket for the normal 7197 had 10-pins (even though it only used 9). I have one on my bench right now....

Is there a way of finding out what the original chassis was and any chassis compatible with it? Just so I can keep a lookout for cheap used ones.

The sticker on the frame that reads 25K7197 was the original chassis. As stated above any 25" standard resolution K7000 chassis will work. However, these chassis had a couple of weak points so buying an untested chassis isn't likely to get you very far. If you buy one that is rebuilt and known working you'll be OK but that puts you in the same price range as the Alva chassis.
