What cabinets are similar to Terminator 2 in design?

Hoping some guys might be able to jump in here.

I'm interested in learning what other Shooter arcade cabinets are similar to the old Terminator 2 design. In particular I'm looking for:

a) 25" Monitor (or even larger) that reflects the image with a mirror

b) Is designed for Mounted Guns and has a large, flat Control Panel (So House of the Dead with it's pistol design and no protruding Control Panel is out).

c) Must be glass in front, encasing the viewing area.

Terminator 2 and maybe Point Blank are the only two that come to mind for me. But there must be others? I'm just not familiar with 1990's and 2000's shooters.

Any help would be much appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

Ah, excellent call. I just looked up Revolution X. The 2 player sequel to Terminator 2 looks to be nearly identical in design (both with 25" monitors).

But wow, that 3 player Revolution X is absolutely a beast. 750 LBS with a 33" Monitor and a massive 3 mounted gun control panel. Holy crap.

My 3 player Rev X is the perfect party game, always has a trio of people on it. I actually got rid of the T2 because people stopped playing it after I got the Rev X.

I can totally see that! It looks like it would be blast.

I wish I had the room. My arcade is so small (sigh). I will have to move out out 2 cabinets from the room just to be able to fit a T2 or Revolution X 2 player cabinet.

Revolution X is a cool game, I just can't stand the Aerosmith part.

Can someone make Slayer ROMs? :D

If you are trying to swap games, none are a direct swap.

RevX is close. The guns/recoil/monitor/speakers swap, but you need to do a lot of other wiring.

If you don't care about gun recoil or want to a LOT more work:
Zombie Raid
Operation Wolf 3

Same work plus power supply and major wiring work:
Operation Thunderbolt
Space Gun

All of these are mirrored position/mounted gun games.

If you are gun asking about 25" mirror gun games (generically), a LOT of light gun games have this option by PCB dip switch. Lethal Enforcers is a good example as it is dedicated with a mirror, but many conversions without. It will be a long list.

Wow,

I see that now! I am totally unfamiliar with the late 80's into 1990's shooters (never played them back in the day).

I can see from your list that the cabinets all pretty much look the same in design. 25" Monitors, reflected mirror image, large control panel with 2 mounted guns, viewing area enclosed in glass. Very cool.

I'm going to start compiling a list of titles but from what you are saying it may be very long.

Thanks,

Dan
