I've got a Centipede and Ms Pac mini, and full sized Galaga, Dig Dig, Asteroids, Tempest and Gorf. I just realized I'm all Atari and Midway.

I have room for one more mini. What should I get and why?

Missile Command. Even if you did not like this game as a kid (I hated it), it's replay value today still stands up. It is my favorite game. It also maintains the Atari theme. Do it.

There's several good choices... Turbo, Phoenix, Eagle, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, Qix, Jungle King, OutRun, Super PacMan, Satan's Hollow. Of course many of these are quite difficult to track down.

Kyle

First it will all depend on what you can find easily and if you are willing to have a game shipped. Do you want one thats ready to go or are you willing to buy a beater and fix it up.

I'm totally good with a restore. I enjoy that part as much as playing.

Been thinking about MC but I think that mini cab is less than pretty. No offense ... cause the game is really cool ... but I dunno ...

Missile Command is a lot of fun to play in the cabaret cabinet, as is Tron and Robotron.

A Tron cabaret doesn't have the aesthetic appeal of its UR cousin, while the Robotron cabaret has sideart, a lit marquee, and backlit instructions, so it's a bit fancier than the UR.

Pick a game you like, and make sure you give the cabaret version a go before you commit to buying it. :)

I agree on Robotron. Good game whether mini or full size, and it's not Atari or Midway :D

DK

If I were in your shoes, I'd look for a Donkey Kong mini. Then maybe I would install the DK Trilogy..

Just checked out Robotron ...it's really cool with the side graphics.

Yeah, it's nifty.

It's also built really well with an easily-accessible monitor, hinged back door and CP, Player 1 and 2 buttons which are lit from behind, etc. I think there's also an extra set of "advance/reset" buttons in the coin box area - a nice touch.

Assault. It's the same width as your cabaret 'pede.

What is this "DK Trilogy" you speak of? Is it all on one board? (I have a DK mini.)

To be honest, I saw some sort of switcher, similar to a JAMMA multigame, but classic Nintendo specific. I didn't bookmark it, as I don't have a DK now and didn't see a need. However, Google may be of some assistance..

Donkey Kong looks a little plain too. I'm into MC for the game play, robotron for the graphics. I'll check out others later tonight.

thanks for the input!!!!

I'll post when/if I get something. It's been hard to find much here in MI so the search could be a long one.
