that's a real stumper.
i have a feeling it's from
a black and white 70s game.

Very unusual.

It does have that 70s bronze age cab vibe with the "channel" cut through the side panel, and the Space Invaders-ish control panel.

Maybe it was a bootleg or overseas Space Invaders?

My first thought was some kind of modded poker machine, but that's not very convincing.

Can you post a better pic of the coin door? Those often give clues, especially if there are any logos or manufacturers anywhere on them (inside or out).

I was thinking something kee games, but the coin door is wrong. It's a little like canyon bomber, but that's different too. I would guess converted poker machine.

The way the control panel looks like it was cut out, it may have been some type of gambling/redemption type machine.

Can't tell if the coin door has a bill slot or not.

Back in the day, RePlay magazine featured ads for generic cabinets for operators to install conversion kits into... I wonder if this cab was one of those?

Why do you keep finding these oddball cabinets that I seem to be strangely attracted to? :p

Looks like the original game likely had small square start buttons.

Jinkies! It's a clue!
