What "bondo type" fill do you use on cabinet?

I've got some holes a spots to fill on my multicade arcade cab before applying laminate. What have you found that works best for patch filling wood? I would think regular bondo would crack and not bond well.

I know there are lots of these products out there but would like to know what has worked best for you.

Regular bondo is good... but very hard. I use Bondo Glazing/Spot putty for small areas that won't be getting abused... it's much softer and easier to work with... but it's NOT for corners or anything that will get a lot of "traffic"...

I've always found this Bondo to be quite helpful.

For smaller holes I actually use regular epoxy. Maybe it's just because I have more experience with it, but I find it easier to work with than bondo. It also doesn't crack like bondo. To really ensure no cracking, you can use this process:

1) Fill any smaller cracks and holes with epoxy.
2) For larger areas you can put fiberglass mesh over the entire area.
3) Then cover the entire mesh with bondo. Make sure to put on a big thick coat so that none of the texture of the mesh is visible.

You can also use screws or nails to give the bondo a bit more structure behind it. This is probably only really necessary when you need to build out a corner or something like that.
