Here's what I was told...

"I also have an atari game that does work. You can look at that if you like also. That stands like a pin ball machine and has two wheels to steer attached to it."

Any idea?
I will try and look at it tomorrow, if at all possible, so the riddle won't last long.

Is it Fire Truck?

Stands like a pinball machine? Perhaps the guy means it's "upright"? Two wheels can be quite a few different games. Did he give an age range? old? new? 80's?

My first guess would be Fire Truck, but this came to mind as a pinball with a steering wheel. It only has one wheel though and not two:

Mystery Solved!

Sad to say you are all optimists.
(OK, maybe 'Gumball Rally' wasn't all that optimistic)

It's a BADLANDS !!!!

Imagine my joy that it wasn't an ugly old FireTruck.
:-(

Funny, I was originally thinking of Badlands. But I fail to see how it looks or stands like a pinball. lol.

Have you guys seriously never heard an arcade video game referred to as a "pinball"?

I hear this so often that I ask the person to describe a machine before I get my hopes up. I was severely disappointed when I was offered a two player Joust pinball for $400 expecting this:

But instead I found this:

It's in a trailer... laying on it's back.
That must be why she said it was like a 'pinball'.
It was clear she wasn't really all that good at providing accurate descriptions of things.

Anyway... I wasn't too disappointed. Here's what I went to get... the other game would have been 'gravy'...

non-working (they say)... haven't plugged it in yet, no key, will have to drill out the lock.
$100

Here was the CL description of this lovely cocktail...

"We have a Scramble Electric Game Table for two that you would find in the night clubs, the game is licensed by Konami in Osaka, Japan and produced by Stern-On the bottom is has Anton Clemetsen CD Chicago."

Nice Scramble! I love the old Stern cocktails. If you feel like selling it, let me know.

I have 2 now... had the other for about 11 years. It didn't have the control panel overlays and no one seems to have them... just generic brown. I couldn't find them anywhere and my WTB post here basically was ignored.

I was happy to find this one. I haven't decided what to do with my original but if I decide to move it along I will let you know.

There was a Badlands at Captain Pinball's auction last time I went. But it was set up in a cabinet similar to Rolling Thunder / 2-player Gauntlet...
