Hey all,
Heres the deal. Looks like I may be getting another Vector monitor. I already have the ones I consider the best(Star Wars, Tempest, ESB). So my question is this. What Color Atari Vector game would you build if you were building it from scratch. Looking for the best of the rest. Heres the list I recall.
Space Duel
Gravitar
Black Widow
Major Havoc
Quantum

I realize that MH and Quantum aren't easy to pick up, but that's no sign they're the best of the rest either. So lets hear the opinions. Shame I didn't have the money to pick up one of those Zektor ZVG boards. Then I could do a multi vectormame game. And let me know if I missed a title.

I just bought a ZVG a month ago, and an adapter lead to suit Amplifone,
Trouble is there are some vertical monitor games and some horiz, so have to make a rotating monitor cabinet to play all of them

IE they still have the ZVGs in stock

go with space duel here are some reasons:

1) great game!
2)the wiring harness is set for 2 player 5 button and 2 starts. so 12 imputs to the control panel.
3)you can plug gravitar in it and it almost works.
4)black widow is gravitar plus 4 wires so it has to be close
5)there is a kit to play major havoc in space duel
6)since major havoc can play in a temepst cabinet with no adapter, it has to be close to working with the space duel to major havoc kit.

My VectorMAME setup rotated the games...

FWIW, VectorMAME ran a REALLY old version of MAME so some of the voice's in the Sega games sound like crap and Star Wars and Empire LLLLAAAAGGGG....

The rest of the games seemed to play fine though.

WOW am I glad to hear that before building the cab LOL
:p

Never played Quantum, but the rest are all great games. Hard choice. Probably Major Havoc or Black Widow. Any of them, really.

Why? Screen rotation is easily handled in emulation...

I was really leaning towards Black Widow, but the monitor has Space duel burn in and that would be a lot easier to find than most. But since my CP Star Wars just went out, I may be trying to figure it out for a while. Oh well, keep the suggestions coming.
