So I'm about to have a number of 80s and 90s games out for the public to use (more about that coming soon), and I'm thinking of coin mechs.

I'm looking for .984 coin mechs that won't accept a quarter and will be as reliable as possible. I don't care about saving a few $. I (and others) just need life to be simple.

So, to the extent I can, are Imonex V9 units the way to go? It seems a lot of people like them, though Ken Layton (RIP) in his writings here didn't seem impressed by them.

When would someone want to use, say a SuzoHapp instead? https://na.suzohapp.com/products/coin_doors/42-3053-100

For the Imonex or any other mech, where vendors do you suggest? I see prices really vary. For the Imonex 120-900-08:

https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-1438-imonex-120-900-08-v9-984-token-insert-3-5-in.aspx $25.11
https://twistedquarter.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1625 $29.90
https://www.betsonparts.com/amusement-redemption/imonex-984-token-acceptor.html $39.91
https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/CM984 $44.99
https://parts.icegame.com/products/coin-mech-984-120-900-08-aa0177 $50.00 - Just using them as an example, I'd never think of them as a general parts supplier!

So $25 to $50, or $25 to $45 if you don't count the manufacturer that really isn't in the business of selling them.
Of course I didn't compare shipping costs or reputation, etc.

support the arcade focused TwistedQuarter? or?
