So I want to give my playfield a wax job, is there a product I can use at the local store? Do I need to order pinball wax? Any recommendations?

I use Novus, then good old paste Turtle Wax. A few nice coats hand buffed with a soft cloth and it's like glass.

Automotive waxes are your best bet. Avoid furniture waxes as they tend to have petroleum in them that can soften the playfield paint or cause color changes, also avoid anything that says "cleaner/wax" for the same reason.

I used a pure carnuba paste wax, there are several brands available, any should do fine. In a nutshell, you want some manner of wax without additional chemicals that might cause a reaction with the playfield paint.

Mother's pure Carnauba is like $5 at Wally World. You'll pay $12-$13 at an autoparts store. I found that out the hard way.

I thought it worked well, but I've seen others say they didn't like mothers. You know what they say about opinions though.
